Me playing my usual opponent.

Game Start:
Dawn of War Deployment
Night Fighting = True
I went first

Psychic Powers-
Flyrant1- Paroxysm, Horror
Flyrant2- Psy Scream, WB
Terv- Catalyst
Zoe- Paroxysm

Warlord Trait- Heightened Senses

Deployment-

Turn 1-
I swooped my Flyrants forward, and killed all of the markerlights in his units of Fire Warriors. All of my non-Flyrant stuff moved up.

Some of the termagants with Devourers were in range, so I dakkaed the non-FB FW team in the building, killing 1.

He moved his Leman Russ MBTs up, and killed a few Gaunts with the blasts. He failed to hit either the Zoanthrope or the Venomthrope. The Cadre Fireblade popped his Warlord Trait, which gave him Skyfire. The remaining Fire Warriors in the building who were in his unit fired at the Flyrant. 1 unsaved wound, but I passed the Grounding Check.

Turn 2-
Both my Rippers and Mawloc got in. Rippers DSed near the Flyrant, and the Mawloc failed horribly by scattering off of the GK strike squad. No TFTD for you! The Flyrants attacked the LRMBTs, doing 2 hull points of damage to one and 1 to the other. Everything moved up more.

He pivoted his LRMBTs so the front armor faced the Flyrants, and shot at the Hormagaunts, nearly wiping them out. The GKs charged the Mawloc. The Mawloc killed one, and lost 4 wounds to the Daemonhammers and Halberds.

Turn 3-
Flyrants killed both LRMBTs. Everything moved. Rippers killed a FW with Spinefists, and Termagants killed 1 with Devourers.

GK strike squad killed the Mawloc, and moved forward. The FW team unloaded into the Termagants, killing a few more.

Turn 4-
I fired at the Fire Warriors again. My opponent conceded. Victory for nids!

That looks like a decent battlefield , with cover to protect your army.

It's also nice to see you prioritising the threats to your army

All in all, congratz on the win

YMDC = nightmare

Good win, glad to see terrain on the table. Interesting opposing force...

A couple thoughts for you.

I would position the Venom between the two swarms. Both can take advantage of the Shrouded.
Cant tell from the pictures, but you can spread out a bit more vs the blasts and I would start the gaunts at the very front edge of the deployment zones.
Turn 2, the Flyrants should have focused on one Tank to ensure the kill. However I think you should have gone for the Strike squad with the devourers. They are more of a threat than the tanks to your list imho.

Overall a good showing though. Much more like what is expected than previous fights.

Thank you very much.
