Hi, so I recently bought the Khador battlegroup box (Sorscha, Juggernaught, Destroyer) and was wondering what unit to pick up next. I really am fond of the heavy jacks, but would like some infantry.
Thoughts?

Ok, gotta get something out of the way here. This is the standard newbie Khador speech.

Khador is NOT a jack faction, nor are they a heavy infantry faction. They're a medium/light infantry faction.

Khador lists generally have 1 jack, and then a bunch of infantry. Their warcasters are incredible focus hogs, they want to cast a bunch of buff spells which often leaves no focus for jacks. Their buffs are also infantry focused as well, only having a few jack buffs.

As for stuff to get next.

1) The Spriggan is the standard heavy Khador usually will use. Its the most flexible and has the most focus efficiency. The other 2 jacks you usually see are Beast-09 and the Behemoth, but they're character jacks so you'll want to hold off on them.

2) Wardog. He follows your warcaster keeps them safe. Best 1 point in the faction.

3) The Winterguard Death star. Consists of Winter Guard Infantry with UA and Rocketeer weapon attachments, and the solo Kovnik Joesph Gregorovich. An alternate version is Winter Guard Riflecorps instead of Infantry.

4) Ironfang Pikemen with either UA. The regular UA can give them a one time free advance at the end of their activation which triggers shield wall(basically they can charge and make shield wall at the same time) and he also gives them pathfinder when they charge. Then there is the Black Dragon UA, which lets them pick which column gets damaged when attack jacks or beasts. And it also gives them a one time use ability which gives an armor bonus as well as KD and Stationary immunity. The Black Dragon UA however costs more $ than the regular UA on a unit which is already very expensive. But a very very good unit. IFP also want an Ironfang Kovnik solo to give them shield march.

5) Widowmakers and Widowmaker Marksmen solo. A self-sufficient spot removal unit and solo tag-along.

6) Great Bears of Gallowswood. A character unit who really just provide big scary axe to the face.

7) Manhunter solo. A sneaky assassin type solo. Good for flanking to attack targets of opportunity. Also good at scenario contesting.

Also get the Black Ivan upgrade kit since you already have a destroyer.

I agree with everything Grey Templar said, but I would just go ahead and pull the trigger on Beast and Behemoth if you're seriously thinking of going all in. With a few exceptions for certain casters like Harkevich, the Spriggan, Beast, and Behemoth are the only 3 jacks a Khador player could consider "must owns."

On a serious note, don't get Zerkova. She's very challenging and not that good.

I want to Exalt this cause it's funny.

I also don't wanna Exalt it cause it's trollish.

Well you'll eventually want all the main infantry. IFP, Winterguard Deathstar, and probably Riflecorps too.

Lots of people get 2 units of IFP as well.

And even if you wanted to get her PP just sculpted her and she looks much better and the sculpt won't be out for awhile.

I can't tell you much specifically about the Khador arsenal but I can tell you that any army you're starting the best place to go after the battlebox is to figure out what works well with the battlebox warcaster and buy that. Once you can win consistently with the battlebox warcaster in larger games and have a solid core of models start branching out and getting more warcasters that work with the stuff you already have.

Extremoth isn't actually a model thats for sale. Its a qualifier for a Behemoth that is made using the Extreme Juggernaut model as a base instead of the regular Behemoth.
