I was having a discussion with my friend about this build I was thinking up, but apparently there is another way to get a 2+ Armour on a dark elves dreadlord, and apparently there is a whole build around it. Please tell me what it is, it's annoying me that i can't find out

Here are three megabuilds I'v found

- Sea dragon cloak
- Heavy armour
- Soulrender
- Dragonhelm
- Crown of command
- Pendant of khaeleth
- Riding a Cold one

Cold One
Whip of agony
Charmed shield
Pendant of khaeleth
Crown of command

Dark Steed
Full mundane kit
Sword of Might (optional)
Dragonhelm
Pendant of Khaeleth
Crown of Command

I guess these guys are kitted up to deal with hordes.
I don't play DE but this is what I found online

Thanks
Austin

Ah the pendant. If only it still existed.

And a dark elf character gets a 1+ with a sea dragon cloak, heavy armour, a shield and a mount. Literally any mount will do. Or you can trade the mount for one of the helms.
Standard build is:
Heavy armour, shield, sea dragon cloak, lance, dark peg, dawnstone, and the cloak of twilight.

Malifaux masters owned: Guild(Sans McCabe), Outcasts(Sans Misaki), Arcanists(Sans Marcus)

The enchanted shield also works in place of a mount or a helm.

I don't know how he's getting a ward save though, I was thinking however
Mount, shield, sea dragon cloak, heavy armour, dawn stone, glittering scales, tricksters helm.
What mount would you recommend and what would I grab weapon wise, should the tricksters helm be replaced with destiny armour?

You have 100 points of items. 100 points to spend on a ward.

You get a SDC for the 5+. The heavy armour takes it to a 3+. The shield takes it to a 2+. The Dark Steed/Pegasus takes it to a 1+. Then you spend 50 points on the cloak of twilight. Then 25 on the Dawnstone.

Now you have a dude who can combo charge.

OR. You can take the Ogre blade and Cloak of Twilight. This works best in the Air Force build.

but the cloak of twilight only gives it against shooting, so in addition to the SDC, heavy armour, shield, mount should i grab the 4+ warp save pendent, dawnstone, and something else?

He's toughness 4 with a 1+ rerollable. What are you throwing him at?

Well no wonder he's dying. He's got no goons to take a warmachine shot.

Lone characters have a very large bullseye painted on them, and things like Stonethrowers and cannons especially will just eat him alive.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

I wasn't though, I was sending him to harrass small squads.

Characters really should be bunkered in primary combat units. Not sent to harass units worth a fraction of their point cost because they'll just get sniped by warmachines or spells. Even with a 4+ ward save, you're looking at a 50/50 chance of losing hundreds of points.
