Hello All,

I'm brand new to FOW and am gonna start playing it with a friend (she used to play quite a bit).

I just had a question about recce; can infantry-recce still do all that they do while mounted on tanks?

I'm planning on fielding a 3. Fallschirmjäger Division (Ersatz Fallschirmjägerkompanie) from Bridge by Bridge, and was wondering if I mount a Fallschirmjäger Scout platoon (pg. 28) onto my stugs, can I still defuse ambushes, pull of eyes and ears, etc. ?

Thanks for the read and the help.

The figures need to be physically on the table to do their thing. Mounted figures aren't able to perform any actions. So no, you can't perform recon functions if your recon teams are mounted.

On the other hand a cool trick in infantry Recce on vehicle Recce, both move for the recce move. Can really help deploying troops forward

Is this definitely right? If so I've been using my Spetsnaz wrong by rolling eyes and ears for the teams in their half tracks rather than the half tracks themselves (giving me two extra chances to roll a three than I should have).

Darnit, I had this thought of my stugs just rolling around with an 8" bubble of can't ambush this around it
