British and Americans appear to have had standard colors (SCC15 and AN319 respectively) for painted equipment. About to start painting up my Germans from the Open Fire Set and having a bit of a difficult time trying to find the standard color for small equipment that isn't dunkelgelb (panzerschreck rounds, ammo cans, grenades, etc). My Google Fu shows some reference to RAL6003 being used for Panzerschreck rounds, which maps to Vallejo Reflective Green. So I'm wondering, for anything that wasn't dunkelgelb, would that be the correct color to use?

Things that weren't Dunkelgleb were generally a dark green color. As for the appropriate paint to use... uhm I really couldn't give an answer. I've seen several different shades of Dark Green for this junk. I generally use Vallejo Russian Green and it looks decent.

I use Russian green for most of my stuff. Reflective green seems to be a bit to bright for me.

Russian Green or German Dark Camo Green work for me.

Mess tins and Gas Mask Cylinders were generally green, with the cylinders being a grey-green.

MG ammo boxes came in grey, green and yellow.

Schreck rounds came in wooden boxes, often unpainted and the rounds themselves were a dark green or dark grey or occasionally dark red, the same as mortar rounds. Metal bomb cases were dark green or green-grey and late war also in yellow.

Like most things Germans there was huge variety of colour depending on place of manufacture despite regulations providing a standard factory finished colour, locally made things would often vary. Even 'Fausts came in different colours and while most were yellow I have seen green ones, grey ones and some in what is a grey-green colour.
