Ven Dread-drop pod, multi melta, storm bolter
Terminators (5-man)-assault cannon, Chain fist

Troops-
10x tac squad- plasma gun, plasma cannon, plasma pistol on sergeant
10x tac squad- plasma gun, plasma cannon, plasma pistol on sergeant
10x tac squad -heavy bolter, flamer , power fist on sergeant , rhino
5x tac squad- melta, plasma pistol, power sword, Razorback w/twin-linked lascannon
5x Scouts- 4x snipers, missile launcher, camo cloaks

Fast Attack-

Heavy Support-
2x Whirlwinds- extra armor


I took this to a tourney and didn't do to bad surprised lots of people, killed lots of nids, dark eldar, space marines and orks with this list in different events

This is possibly the most generic space marine list possible. It only excells at AP2 killing. It has virtually 0 anti tank. Has 35 tactical marines and 5 scouts thrown in too boot. You even have plasma pistol vet sarges. Awful list for competitive play.

I need to know how you play this, because I don't get the big picture.

Where do these guys go? Are they foot slogging with the Tac squads? Why not Azrael, since he already has a combi-plasma, a pumped up power sword, artificer armor, a better statline, and he buffs your entire army? As for the Libby, what does he do exactly? Would Ezekiel be a better choice? Could he use a bike?

I would drop the plasma pistols and use a combi if you have to give them something. I'd probably not run that many tacs on foot either. A full squad of Ravenwing is cheaper, iirc, if you've used Azrael they will still be obsec. I don't really get the scouts either.

Fast Attack-
Ravenwing Dark Talon

Unless you really love the model.... Typhoon Land Speeders or Ravenwing Black Knights would be better here. The Black Knights are arguably the best unit in the codex, and your list could use some mobile firepower.

Heavy Support-
2x Whirlwinds- extra armor

This is where I would get the points for the Typhoon Land Speeders. They are a lot more versatile.

sorry to burst your bubble but most of the plasma and the ven dred in drop pod usually take out most tanks and fortifications and WellSpokenMan I put the librarian with the melta squad in the razorback while the company master is with one of the plasma squads I understand using azreal as I do have and take him in some list ,but I like the two relics I gave the company master better for killing larger groups or monstrous creatures, termies usually take out targets of interest such as tanks as I usually put them on rear armor , honestly I do like the dark talon model and the main reason I take it as well as whirlwinds is its good against hordes (such as nids or orks) , as well as 5+ save models such as dark elder , I have considered land speeders but can never find any either cheap enough or that arn't completely destroyed

Having a Plasma Cannon instead of a Plasma Gun as a secondary is nice, but it is only one shot. The Monster Slayer of Caliban is only superior to the Sword of Secrets on a 5 or a 6. When you factor in the extra attack Azrael gets, not to mention the availability of Furious Charge, he would seem to be the better choice. At only 45pts more than what you are taking, Ezekiel is a considerable upgrade as well. Melta vets or a Command Squad would be a cheaper (points wise) way to go after tanks. Since you are foot sloggin' those Tacs you might want to consider a Banner of Devastation as well.

If you are looking for landspeeders you can get them for about 25 bucks new in the box on ebay with free shipping right now. They are probably some of the best firepower marines can put out. I Never bring less than 4 to a list this size.

This is 1850. In a competitive environment. This list gets rolled simply because it can't hurt core elements of your enemies army. IG with russ will roll you. Any Titan will roll you. A LRR will roll you. any Deathstar will roll you. Helldrakes will roll you. Anything that can reliably get into CC with those Tacs will roll you.

Xenomancers I have faced many of those list and have done just fine taking out knight titans is easy and most people around me don't use much bigger than that IG seem to die just as well , I actually just played against a centurion star and tabled them super easily and not many people around play chaos in tourneys or if they do they take zombies and typhus list making the whirlwinds ideal and yes most things that get with in range of charge are scary but by then its usually 1-4 models left
WellSpokenMan I will try out the banner and Ezekiel just to get a feel , I may use Azrael in games where I take less tac squads and more raven/deathwing models
