I recently saw a post SOMEWHERE showing a company is making non-minion figures veerrrryyyy simular to dispicable me, now I cant even remember where I saw it.
I've seen them too (but can't find them again), but UNCLEBADTOUCH has it right that The Dice Bag Lady (http://thedicebaglady.net/) has something to do with them
(not sure they're intended for commercial release though, but worth asking)
We do have mini minions available at toys are us, if you can't find the ones your looking for. They're just cheap toy plastic, though, not HIPS or resin. If they're not in store, they're definately order-able online.
I'm going to get some of these myself, they are the right size and they really look pretty cool.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.
The minion guys are around 20.00 or so in Toyz R Us. You can get them for 17.00 online from them as well. They have the yellow and purple minions in there. They aren't too bad, either.

Then you could have Gru as Coteaz!
Honestly I saw some pretty "out-there" ideas for third-party miniatures, but I wasn't quite expecting this! Actually kind of amuses me.
Don't believe me? It's all in the numbers.
Number 1: That's terror.
Number 2: That's terror.
