@styrofoam04: Cheers, the hammer is from a mechanical dwarf out of Titan Forge, and yes it's a chest piece from the tracked mechanicus servitor.

@Gitsplitta: that's really one think I enjoy with this run into Inq28 - the time to concentrate on just one mini at the time. I have also always converted most minis in units and it takes for ever.

At little something extra. Been wanting to add candles to a few minis for some time - and finally had a moment to sit down and experiment with making some, so I decided to add a little detail to the base here. I think it looks really good, and I'm kind of looking forward to painting these to see how it ends up.

I think your link is broken Manus... either that or my computer is acting up...

Thanks

Really hoping the armour will look black once finished. Trying to keep the rest in a good mix of shiny imperial and dirty Inq28 style.

Thanks a lot

Really fast progress with the Inq Lord, this is about 3½-4 hours paintjob in all - which is really fast compared to my usual speed. Really like the way he's coming along - bought one of the gloss nuln oil washes from GW, perfect for black armour.
As I gave him a Spanish sounding name, I figured I'd try out a more brown skincolor, worked out pretty well IMO.

I have decided to try out something different for quick display/WIP shots as I wasn't quite satisfied with the colordisplay when the minis were on the green cutting mat or white tissue. So I made this little piece, which might be optimised with some 3d details and perhaps a change in size.

Thanks a lot guys.

Just need to finish off the base now - tried to work in some OSL on the candles but simply couldn't make it work, so they ended up without. Quite happy with the candles in all other aspects, not the last time I've added those to minis, that's for sure.

Really happy with the way this one turned out, quietly thinking this may actually be my best mini ever - great feeling

Fantastic work. Gorgeous attention to detail. Really love the old battered and well worn look to the long hammers. Stuinning work all round

Beautiful mini Manus... strikes the perfect tone, especially love the candles. What a perfect touch!

Your background is just perfect... how'd you pull it off?

Thanks a lot guys. The background is simply a couple of pics found online, merged in a word document and printed on a regular printer.

Finished this guy in just a couple of painting sessions - which is truly a mad turnover compared to my usual speed
Jäeger the Debt Collector - he working with these other two guys, in the same small operation, and well....he is collecting debts (under the motto: "you better pay" - which is not really that advanced but pretty spot on).

Thank you very much.

Started a new mini too - awesome sculpt. I think she will be nicknamed Sweet Death.

Been working a bit more on Sweet Death, adding a body armour (sculpting will never be a force of mini I'm sure) and other bits to the body it self. I have covered up the fleshy bits some, I'm not in the shy-away-from-huge-racks-on-gaming-minis crowd, but just felt it would be more fitting for an imperial agent - and also build a nice big gun

Some very awesome minis are popping up in here. The latest one is off to a very promising start.

Thanks guys - hope like the progress

I really wanted this mini to be twisted and somewhat disturbing. So I got the idea of a very discomforting looking personae, hiding her true face and letting other parts of her catch the unlucky victims eyes while getting in close for the kill.
I'm thinking about sculpting some hair but I'm not sure.

Thanks - much appreciated

I'm a bit in a pickle though, hoping to get your opinion. Finishing touched have been added, bit of repositioning of parchments and some base work. I also tried my hand on adding some hair.....as I've said earlier sculpting will not be a force of mine anytime soon. But the hair can be reworked and redone over and over until I'm satisfied - but does the mini look better with hair or without? Help me out here please - atm I'm on the no-hair option.

I totally see the need to hide the back of the head, as an apparent skull would ruin the mask's purpose. The sculpting looks nice, but I am a bit unsure about the hairstyle. It might have to do with the shape of the head being quite thin and elongated, therefore long hair tightly attached towards the back of the head might look cool (hope this makes sense ^^). Another option would be some kind of grim reaper like hood, but I think some nice hair would fit your Sweet Death concept better.

Keep it up !

Thanks for the comments - makes a lot of sense. I have had a suggestion of a judge's wig - I might try my hand on that, think it would look wicked!

Think a formal wig would look excellent. Can you raise the mask a bit so it's more noticeable. Fantastic looking character so far. Love it
