Hey all,

Looking for some serious critique and pros&cons of the following list. Looking for a TAC End times list that can take on other filth. Not sure this list can work but I have a sneaking feeling it just might


No Khaine magic will be used.


VL QB RF lvl4 Vamp HA, sh, ToTS, Nightshroud, ToP, Lance, hellsteed
SGK Scab, DBG, RF, AoDM, Terrorgheist

3x5 dire wolves
2x 19 skeleton archers, muso, banner
15 skeleton horsemen, FC

2x 1 spirit hosts

2x Terrorgheist

2497/2500

Ogre Kingdoms: 5 500 pts

Lizardmen: 6 000 pts

Undead Legions: 20 000 pts

I run one terrorgheist just as a firemagnet, knowing full well that between cannons and stone throwers he's unlikely to survive past turn 2. With ET characters running around there's even more of that. Your SGK is just giving free points to the enemy.

Your vampire build is decent, but keep in mind that off the charge his S5 is not sufficient and he'll be unlikely to put out the amount of CR you need to offset the losses your horsemen will take. I'd rather give him the Ogreblade and put the nighshroud on a mounted WK with a GW.

I wasn't a fan of the 20-man archer units. Used them with my TK, but in UL I found that they're easy points that don't really do much. I'd rather have a 3-pack of flaming chariots, and a unit of 40 skeletons for tying things up and breaking steadfast.

Outside of that there are pluses and minuses to running dual terrorgheists. They're solid against many ET builds, but they're free points against stuff like avoidance wood elves or skink swarms. So be warned.

Otherwise this list is relatively similar to the list I run with my UL.

Hi PRND, thanks for the input.

With the 3 gheists I am hoping to overload my opponent. You don't think 3 will be enough to get through some avoidance elves? If not, then I will go back to multiple flying VL's and vargs.

I agree archers don't do much, they are there for chaff clearing but I guess with so many flyers I don't need to clear chaff...

Will post a "non-risk" list later...

Terrorgheists are great against warriors or empire, but against a lot of armies they struggle to earn their keep.

Lizardmen are a good example. Be aggressive with them and they'll get skinked off in a turn. Be conservative and they're not earning points. And generally speaking you'll have a tough time finding targets that can't hide in worthless skinks without exposing yourself to undue risk. WE are worse because with all that trueflight they'll shoot off a terrorgheist a turn, and they're not particularly vulnerable to the scream.

That's why I only bring one...against WoC its great, but I m not too concerned when I pull an army it does nothing against.

I'd rather drop the mounted SGK for another hammer unit. For his points he's just not very effective, and since he cant be your general anyways it's not like he can help the TG be more mobile. You could get a second mounted vampire lord for instance, and make that bus into a monster. Or two units of vargheists and a mounted WK with the shroud. Lots of choices.
