Hi all, what is the AT for British 17pdrs in the overlord book? I know market garden (which I own) has them at AT15, and I remember hearing that this was a recent change from something worse (like 12 or 13) at some point in the past. If it's worse in Overlord, is it FAQ'd to be 15 now? Or do the points cost of the guns reflect the lower AT enough to still make it worth it? Also, are there any British lists in there in general that are fun and worth using? I'm debating getting the book since we're looking at starting a Firestorm: Caen campaign at the FGLS, but it doesn't really seem worth it to me to buy a book that makes my guns worse.

Thanks!

Are you talking about towed 17pdrs in particular, or just the weapon in general? Because I know the Sherman Fireflies and the Challengers that I have in my Desert Rats list use a 17 pdr with AT 14.

No idea on how much of a price break or raise they got because of that though, I just recently got the army and have yet to play a game with them.

Also I wouldn't call it worst, I prefer paying for AT 14 as its a fair bit cheaper and at 15 is only really worth it against Panthers, against most over armour at14 is enough.

Thanks guys, good to know about the points. You answered me anyway, but yeah I meant weapon in general, I run cromwells/challengers with M10s currently from the Market Garden book, so those are really what I'm asking about.

Overlord 17lbs are AT14 no HE, no matter what they are on. IF it was to just buy the book for the lists, I would say stick with MG. But if you are running Firestorm and need access to those lists appropriate to the battle, I would pick up the book.
