For crimes against Cardassia Thomas Riker has been sentenced to life imprisonment at the Laeson II Labor Camp. In an effort to transport the Riker in secret the Ministry of Justice has decided to transport him aboard a cargo freighter instead of a standard prison ship. Through covert channels and bribery the Maquis have learned of the transport and planned to ambush the freighter. The Maquis leadership have put Cal Hudson in charge of the mission, and made Chakotay his second in command.
Hudson’s team was able to ambush the freighter; however it escaped into the Badland plasma fields. Once in the Badlands the freighter struck a plasma wave and has lost all power except life support. The freighter has sent out a distress call and it two Galor class warships have been sent to intercept. The distress call has also been picked up by the Defiant while finishing a patrol along the DMZ. To protect the treaty with Cardasssia, Starfleet Command has ordered Captain Sisko to use all necessary force to stop the Maquis if they open fire on a Cardassian warship.
Ok so there is the narrative. The basics are that the Maquis will need to rescue Riker from the freighter and disable/destroy any enemy ships to prevent them from following back to their base. To rescue Riker any Maquis ship within range one of the freighter can take an action to lower shields and beam over Riker. Riker beams over disabled and on a following turn the Maquis can enable Riker to become the captain of the ship. The Cardassian/Fed player must prevent the Maquis from escaping. Everyone must avoid the plasma spires that will count as normal obstacles and the freighter will could as an enemy ship for everyone.

Turn 1
Everyone floors it. The Val Jean using B’Elanna hits the Trager with a 7 die torpedo attack, stripping off 4 shields. Despite having a
TL, the Trager only destroys 1 shield on the Gavroche. Using his tribble bonus Hudson fires off a 6 die torpedo at the Trager inflicting 2 crits and a hit, leaving it limping with only 1 hull left. The Gavroche disables 2 crew for a 5 die shot with the particle beam; however they come up all blanks and battle stations.
Turn 2
Denar loses a shield on a plasma spire. Glen Daro aboard the Trager repairs a crit. Hudson also loses a shield to the plasma spires. The Defiant destroys a shield and deals 2 damage to Hudson’s raider. In return Hudson only manages to take out one of the Defiant’s shields.
Turn 3
The Gavroche beams Riker aboard. Nothing else happens this turn because everyone is shooting like a cross eyed Ferengi.
Turn 4
The Gavroche enables Riker, so he is now captain. The Defiant destroys 3 shields on the Val Jean. In return the Val Jean takes out 2 shields on the Defiant. Gul Denar scores 3 hits on the Val Jean, enough to destroy it. However it rolls 1 evade and disables 2 upgrades for 2 more evades.
Turn 5
Glen Daro repairs another crit on the Trager. O’Brian repairs 2 shields on the Defiant and the Val Jean takes a damage from hitting a plasma spire.
Turn 6
Glen Daro repairs the hull damage on the Trager. Hudson beams 2 tribbles over to the Val Jean. O’Brian repairs 2 more shields on the Defiant. Dalby repairs 1 hull on the Val Jean. Hudson and Gul Denar exchange fire, but neither can hit anything.
Turn 7
The Trager repairs a shield. The Defiant destroys 2 shields on the Gavroche. The Val Jean hits the Defiant for 3 shields. The Trager destroys the last shield on the Gavroche and Hudson destroys 2 shields and does 1 damage to Gul Denar.
Turn 8
The Trager repairs another shield. Hudson sends 4 tribbles over to Gul Denar. The Defiant repairs 2 shields. The Val Jean sends a tribble over to the Gavroche. In combat the Val Jean scores 2 crits on Gul Denar.
Turn 9
Gul Denar sends 4 tribbles over to Val Jean and the Trager repairs another shield (see a theme here). O’Brian is busy repairing more shields on the Defiant, good thing too because Hudson destroys 3 of them in combat.
Gul Denar throws 6 dice (4 + 1 for tribbles + 1 close range) at Hudson and destroying his ship.
Turn 10
Despite being at point blank range the Defiant can only score one damage on the Val Jean who in returns takes out the Defiant’s last shield.
Turn 11
The Defiant destroys the Gavroche with a rear firing torpedo. However before she went down the Gavroche destroys the Defiant in simultaneous fire. The Trager destroys the Val Jean.
With the battle over Gul Denar wishes to inspect the wreckage for Maquis survivors. Gul Mecet out ranks him and orders Denar to tow the damaged freighter to safety. Denar accepts Mecet’s orders, his ship is nearly over run with tribbles and he must put in for repairs. To repay Sisko for his assistance Mecet has the Trager tow the Defiant out of Badlands. Mecet decides to leave the Maquis to their fate in the Badlands, the loss of ships will cost them enough. Once the Cardassians have left, the Val Jean manages to regain enough power to tow the Gavroche back to a Maquis base. Chakotay rescues Hudson and Sakkona in an escape pod, however their ship is lost. The Maquis have managed to rescue Riker from the Cardassians, but the cost in equipment has been heavy on their cause.
So for anyone not counting, we had one tribble at the beginning of the game and 18 at the end. Hope you guys had fun reading we had fun playing.
