Hi,
just got the looted wagon stats for 7th (I still play 5th) and now I feel moar satisfied (but not completley satisfied) with 7th.
Just wundering, should GW sell a looted wagon set? it would be like this.
base model: Leman Russ Battle Tank.
Bitz and bobs: Killkannon, Deff Rolla, 'ard case, grot riggers, 2 big shootas, 2 rokkit launchas, 2 skorchas, grabbin' klaw.
what do you guys think? Should they sell one? and what should the price be?

At the very least, just selling an upgrade sprue with the Orky gubbins on it, for players to use on whatever tank they have a mind to loot, would fit the bill.
I've never understood why they didn't do that years ago, to be honest.

Forgeworld did a looted rhino. I don't know how the rules have changed, but looted vehicles in 3rd were just a regular vehicle statline which had the BS lowered and option for Ork upgrades. If there's now just a single statline then yes perhaps a kit of sorts could work, but the original intention was for any vehicle to be used (I think you could literally use anything with an armour value) so the possibilities were too vast to cover. That and I think the point is that you should convert up your own model, so having a set one messes with that, as would it severely limit the scope of the vehicle (ie presumably it would look imperial, but that doesn't really cover the array of vehicles that they use, as does it not include the alien races).
So yes an upgrade kit of sorts would suit perhaps. However that's already covered to an extent by the preexisting Ork kits in that you can just add the spare bits from those to any vehicle and call it looted. Yes a sprue just of such upgrades could help, but again there's so much variety in vehicles that one couldn't possibly suit all of them without necessitating more ability from the modeler than just glueing the bits together. That's really the point however. People aught to be finding a kit that they like and messing with it themselves rather than having a set look. Of course this aught to be the case with a lot of things, but people are fine to just buy the set kits that GW make, but I'd say that with a looted vehicle you really aught to be just slapping on plasticard and other bits of crap to an existing kit rather than having one already made for you (and well then it couldn't really be called something so generic as "looted wagon", nah it'd strictly be a "looted Leman Russ" instead, or if it were to be a design unique onto itself then why not call it a new type of Ork vehicle or create an unlooted alternative for the parent faction).
...Ah, yeah long and short is that the thing's from a time when you were expecting to build those things yourself from scratch. The notion that an ork armour should be cobbled together seemed to be prevalent, and such that you could achieve the look easily enough by just picking up a spare ork vehicle upgrade sprue and slapping it onto an existing kit. Hell it really takes hardly any effort to just cut out some angular shapes from some plasticard, slap it on a kit with a few added bolts and call it job's a good un (bonus points for buying the kit second hand and it being trashed already). =P

Agreeing with this. Although, any ork player with an army big enough to include a looted wagon probably has enough bits to make one himself
I used to field a looted predator, with some extra gak thrown on it (armor plating, trophies, ect) that turned out pretty good looking.

The Batllewagon upgrade sprue (that thing that should be included in the box for no extra charge, but isn't), has most things needed to make a decent looted Tank.

They shouldnt for the same reason they shouldnt have made the mek guns. They are gonna charge 60 bucks for 35 points worth of fieldable vehicle, which any sane person is just going to make cheaper.

This really.
The best thing about Ork Looted Vehicles is that your chances of finding two that look identical is pretty much zero.
Promoting conversions is A-OK in my book.

I agree with this. To me half the fun of playing orks is the conversions and such. An "upgrade" kit would be wonderful and more than enough because while you may picture in your mind a looted russ (I myself do as well) another player may want to base it off a chimera or a rhino or maybe even a falcon. Of course, with the grots tinkering, it would only be able to hover at the height of a normal tank. Maybe even a 57 Chevy. The upgrade kit would allow for this variety.
