Did GW get another price bump for everything? Sternguard vets are now 70 dollars... thats 14 dollars a model!

Seriously, can anyone afford to pay 14 dollars a model? I can make models that looks pretty damn close for a tenth of the cost, why are we still supporting GW?

Found out i was in the wrong country. its 60 dollars, not 70. Thats still 12 dollars a model. pretty crazy how i thought that was so much better....

12 or 14, it's still ridiculous. I've said it before and I'll say it again. GW wouldn't have such a problem with recasters if they offered even a semi-decent value for the price you pay. But it's friggin atrocious. My FLGS just 'upgraded' from running a Kill Team league to a small, 500 point detachments with normal rulesets. I was looking into getting a few more Reavers to flesh out my force.... but oh wait, it's 40 dollars. for three.

I agree it's ridiculous but it's not new. SM plastic clamshells have been £18 since the last SM codex, for example.

Make sure you're on the correct site Sternguard are $50US

The Sternguard has a lot of bits in the box. You can make more than 5 Sternguard out of that and a box of Tacticals.

Oh, and it's the wrong time of year for a price bump Try June-time.
