A tournament is coming up at ny WG club and here is the list:

HQ
Overlord with warscythes
Harbringer of despair with veil of darkness

Elites:
9 deathmarks

Troops:

20 warriors
20 warriors
10 immortals with tesla
10 immortals with tesla

Fast attack
3 wraiths with whip coils

Heavy support
Doomsday ark

This is just for first round which is a killpoint battle, no objectives. My cryptek will join the deathmarks in case they get into trouble, and the overlord will be joining an immortal squad. Please give feedback.

Well, I'd take a decursion formation.
This requires you to take an Overlord, 2x 10 Warriors, immortals, and Tomb Blades.
This is quite a good starting point if you figure in the RP bonus.

I didn't really want a formation, but ill give it a go.

Harbingers of Despair don't exist any more. So drop him and the Deathmarks. Tesla is not near as good as Gauss on Immortals. When the book came out in 5th and then into 6th Tesla had the following advantages:

The ability to move and still fire to 24"
The ability to charge after firing
Huge Snap firing potential
More S5 hits at 12"-24"

With 6th in particular the move away from mech (which has come back in 7th) meant Tesla was worth it. Now all those advantages except the last one have gone away with Relentless freely available to Immortals and the nerf to Tesla. That means you compare that last benefit to:

Ability to glance Vehicles
Ability to wound any Toughness
Ap4
Greater Damage output in 0"-12"

Gauss is the only choice now. Also Decurion isn't a Formation it is just a normal detachment.

Tomb blades are brutal with ignores cover now and add some desperately needed mobility to your force. Whilst an Annihilation Nexus with give the Doomsday so target Saturation and you some high strength shots to help deal with MCs, FMCs, Flyers and light to medium mech.

Also Wraiths need to be in bigger units to really be effective ideally atleast 5. So a Decurion might look like this using much of what you've listed:

That way your Wraiths can have 4+ RPs after their 3++! Plus being T5 makes them beast. Hope this helps.

In that list I'd drop the Flayed ones. They are most useful as a horde type unit. 5 is just not enough of a threat for such a slow unit put those points into 3 more Tomb blades.

Since the Tomb Blades are the only reliable Anti-Aircraft, that makes sense.

Came out winning only just against grey knights, tweaking a little in my list. Thanks for your feedback, I will post a second list in a bit for the 1850 objectives match
