I am looking for the best Starter Armies for the Allied Invasion of Italy (US, British, German, and Italian), and the Geman, French, British, and US forces for the Invason of Southern France in the fall of '44 (Aug - Nov).

I've mentioned Southern France before, and the U.S. divisions in the area were mostly duplicates of what landed at Normandy (save for the introduction of some slightly newer equipment when landing).

But I am not at all familiar with the miniatures available for the periods other than BF's.

Looking for roughly one infantry company, and one armor company per faction (can be larger if it is a better deal, and it is something I might buy later anyway - like a deal on a battalion).

Not sure if your going to find a battalion size army for sale but you can ask them to do a deal on buying multiple packs .

Try Peterpig, Skytrex or theplasticsoldiercompany. I have used all 3 without any issues and once they are painted up you can hardly tell the difference .
