I'd like like some advice for playing against Eldar, he will likely have wave serpents and wraith-guard.

If that is what he is running then you need as many meltas/plasma as you can get your hands on. Try putting a melta in each 5 man tac and take sternguard with melta/plas in a d pod. Drop down and melt face

I'm running Dark Angels so I don't think I can take sternguard because of chapter tactics

Tactical squads with meltagun, combi-melta, melta bombs, drop pod.

The lascannon predator is prolly good too.

FYI the lvl 2 Librarian is 100 points.

Those tactical squads are 130 points each. 140 for the Lascannon Predator means two tactical squads, Librarian, and Predator is 500 points on the nose. You might actually consider replacing the Predator with a third drop pod tactical squad so that two pods arrive in the first turn.

What's the mission like? If mobility is key you might consider Rhinos instead of drop pods. Two Rhinos and a Predator is a lot of hull points to chew through, and the Librarian can witchfire Pyromancy out of a Rhino. (And you can take the turrets off of your Razorbacks to run them as Rhinos.)

basic maths goes out the window at 3am sorry about the points mishap

I'm fairly new to the hobby so we'd probably play an annihilation type scenario.

I'll have a think on some of these ideas, I was also considering a dark angels command squad and giving them 5 melta guns.

How about this? I'm having a hard time finding points for a proper loadout for the tacticals but at 500 pts that can't be helped much.

HQ:

Libby lvl 2

Elites:

Company veterans
Combi-melta*4
Meltagun
Drop Pod

Troops:

Tactical squad 4+1
Meltagun
Rhino

Tactical squad 4+1
Flamer
Rhino

Edit: I know that it's a horrible crime to not take mastery lvl 2 for librarians but maybe that'd be the way to go.

Edit 2: Added the missing pod.

Yes it seems that hiding in metal boxes is a pretty popular tactic

Regardless of it making your opponent think that your army consists of nothing but KOWARDS and FEWLS the bawkses do work quite nicely.

Cutting the mastery lvl 2 from the libby one bawks could be upgraded into a HB razorback and there'd be points for a melta and a combi-weapon. Moar dakka is good, right?

I'd cut the ML2 in order to get the Vet squad a transport - probably a Drop Pod considering all the Melta.

Actually, in my list that I quickly made with Battlescribe on my phone I do have a pod for the vets. Just forgot to mention it in the list when I wrote it here, derp.

Great minds think alike?

The plan steel rain the command squad and pop tanks/ wraith stuff . I'm worried about the amount of other dakka though. Libby pyromancing from metal bawkes and plasma guns are a little risky.
