Subject: Beyond Kalidasia Season 3 - The Tabletop Game Development Process from Start to Finish
Beyond Kalidasia is the show that goes behind the scenes of the Kalidasia line of tabletop games. All the episodes in a season have a similar theme and Season 3 is all about the tabletop game design process from start to finish using Kalidasia Fleet Commander as an example.
The first episode in this season covers the three most important concepts to think about as you get started with the tabletop game design process:
1) Creating a general concept
2) Focus on creating a fun experience
3) The constraint of game play length
These three basic concepts will all play an important role in future episodes as they dive further into the details of the tabletop game design process.
Here is Episode 2 of Season 3. In this video, I go over my "Alpha Design Kit", which is a collection of tools, materials, and techniques that I use to rapidly create prototype games for testing.
I recently posted episode 3 of this season where I cover the various stages of my game design process and the goals of each stage. Over the next few episodes, I will dive into each of the four stages in much greater detail.
Episode Four of Season 3 is out. In this episode I dive into the details of the Alpha design phase, discussing the goals of the phase and the various methods that I use during the early phases of tabletop game creation.
Thanks for Watching!. If you have any questions, you can post them in this thread.
Edit - How about I actually use the correct tags for a Youtube Video...

Beyond Kalidasia Season 3 is finally back! I was quite busy finishing up Kalidasia Fleet Commander, but more on that later. I have filmed the last few episodes of the season, so there should be no more delays for the last five episodes.
This episode is the first episode on the Beta Phase and covers an overview of the objectives for that phase. Thanks for watching!
I am getting close to the end of the season with only three episodes left(including this one).
On this episode of Beyond Kalidasia, I talk about the major design change that Kalidasia Fleet Commander went through during the Beta Design Phase and why I made the changes I did.
Episode 8 is out and there is only one more after this one. The Release Candidate phase is the last phase before production and it is all about getting your game ready for production. On this episode, I talk about some basic printing terminology and cover the last few steps needed to turn your game into a final product.
It is time for the Season Finale of Beyond Kalidasia Season 3. This episode is about the production process I use for small production run games. Thanks for watching the season!
