Hello, I'm playing a swedish comp tournament soon, and would like to get some advice on my list! Here it goes:


Chaos Sorcerer Lord (500pts)
Lore of Nurgle, Mark of Nurgle (10pts), Wizard Level 4 (35pts)
Chaos Warshrine (135pts), Mark of Nurgle

The list runs at 11 in the comp, and I think it's pretty nasty. Hellstriders will clean chaff and hunt warmachines, Throgg will run with the Ogres, close to the troll block. Lore of nurgle for toughness and regen. The BSB will atack first, and probably reroll hits, thanks to his I, and, with ST 7 in the first round, will probably melt faces in a chalenge. Any sugestions? Thanks!

I wonder if putting the warshrine on tzeentch might not make it a little more survivable.

I'd also be somewhat concerned that you have some fairly vulnerable points in the hellstriders and skullcrushers. If you come up against someone with a 14+ comp (depending on the band) you'll be playing at a deficit, and they may be able to steal the easy points then just dance around your big blocks for a 14-6 win.

Also keep in mind that your BSB doesn't get a Look Out Sir! in the crushers (unit is too small), and has no real save against a cannonball to the face. And given that the warshrine will be behind the trolls that's really the only smart place your opponent has to throw cannons.


Chariots are also a rather big hit in Swedish, aren't they? What if you dropped them for marauder horse, then dropped the hellstriders to get something that will wreck face. Like maybe another unit of 3 crushers, or just increasing the size of your existing crusher unit to 6 (which makes them a bit more durable, and give up their points less easily).

I'll share my recent WOC army that was swedish comp its now a 9.5 due to swedish being updated (was a 10.6 :()

Chaos lord, mark of tzeentch, chaos steed great weapon armour of destiny, flaming breath, scaled skin dawnstone General.

BSB, mark of tzeentch, enchanted shield, disc of tzeentch tailsman of pres soul feeder

Sorcerer, lvl 2 mark of slaanesh, lore of slaanesh chaos famialr, charmed shield, chaos steed

sorcerer, lvl 1, lore of fire, dispel scroll ,dragon helm, chaos steed

6 maurader horsemen, slaanesh, musician banner, flails, javlins

5 maurader horsemen, slaanesh, musician banner, flails, javlins

5 maurader horsemen, slaanesh, musician banner, flails, javlins

Very fast, manvorable army, lord hits like a steam train and bar combat res doesnt go anywhere. I lost two games out of 6 one due to cannons and me not making any 4+ regens and final trans rolling a 6 for my lord (only time he died!), other was against a tricky DE army where I played wrong and the cauldron was supposdly faqed to be able to re roll shooting and magic as well as CC, now that hurts!. Punches well above its weight in terms of swedish comp.

Where do you put your characters? I CANNOT belive you didnt loose your leadership useless, W4 T5 4+ REGEN ONLY monsters more often... I loose my 2 all the time!!

Only lost the general once and that was due to final trans, due to speed and vanguarding cannons on average wasnt a issue (deployed very wrong against the empire, he had me out shoot and out magic'd but I counter deployed on the other side of the board, bad move espically as he had a fast army!).

The general would never go into a block unless he goes in there with the chimeras, they usually do enough damage to wipe out most units...

The characters all go on there own, the sorcerers are weak due to taking one wound then BS shooting means they are now a big target as its only 1 1+ AS to get through but for the 3+ ward's they can tank somewhat. I ran the horsemen usually at the back just to keep fortitude and for the odd dbl flee if I failed charges, they are also useful for LOS's for the characters on steeds.
