Hi am am trying to make my old speed freak army usable again after the trukk nerf in the new codex.
So what I am thinking is that if I spam the trukk there won't be enough firepower to kill all off them,
and the ork warband seems like a good way to do it, for the reason that we can call a Waaagh! every turn from turn 2, and if we get lucky and get the warlord trait: Prophet of Waaagh! 1/3 chanse we get a big wall off boys that are fearless.
For those that don't know for this formation I need: 1 warboss, 1 mek, 1 unit of nobz or meganobz, 6 units of boys and 1 unit of grots.
Warboss - 125
- Mega armour
- Lucky Stikk
Mek - 15
10 Nobz - 440p
Boss Nob - Power klaw, Bosspole
6 x Big choppas
- 'Eavy Armour
Dedicated transport - Battlewagon
- Killkanon
4 x Big shootas
12 Boyz - 147
- Nob, Power Klaw, Boss Pole
Trukk - Reinforced Ram
12 Boyz - 147
- Nob, Power Klaw, Boss Pole
Trukk - Reinforced Ram
12 Boyz - 147
- Nob, Power Klaw, Boss Pole

Okey I am not sold on the Nobz so do you guys have a good alternativ? it needs to be Nobz or Meganobz
and ofc you can add another detachment to extend the points to 2000p or 2500p.
all opinions are welcome!

If you arent sold on the nobs, switch things up. It looks sorta like you over-kitted them. If you were to drop the 'eavy armor and a big choppa or two, you'd have enough points to sneak a painboy in. Gives you that tasty FnP, and its another nob model with poisoned CCWs.
Other than personal taste, this list is pretty solid in terms of trukk warband. Should work nicely.

If you don't enjoy playing against people with unpainted armies, break into their house when they sleep, paint their figures for them, help yourself to their cheerios and then your problems will be solved.
Well, my opponents usually don't have more than 1-2 Wave Serpents 'cos Serpent spam is very expensive in real life money.
GENERATION 11: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment. |

I'd number down the nobz a bit and replace them with mega nobz. It gives you an even heavier hitting unit with those concentrated pks and either way the unit is slowed down by the warbosses mega armor (you are running him in the wagon with the others, right?)

well I can't bring a painboy because it's a formation. then I need to bring a new attachment and in 1500p I don't see where I would have the points :( but yes painboys are awsome!

the only reason why I did not go for mega nobz is that they will be a bigger target and will be shoot out off there wagon turn 1-2 but I see your point. I could bring 7 bare MANZ for the same price and sticking them in the wagon and ofc the boss will be riding in the wagon with them.
so okey MANZ will work better. atleast they will be a nice target to let the trukks get the boys into CC!

So: detachment and painboy:
You can just take the painboy, you know. It'll just be part of an unbound detachment. Your War band won't suffer from you taking a random HQ. Automatically Appended Next Post: Don't put warboss with MANZ: diversify threats. All those scary things in one chunk will draw a lot of fire. Very expensive distraction unit.
