Cultist - 8 man 58

Fast
Heldrake - Hades Autocannon 170

Flesh Hounds - 10 man 160

total 1846

Lord, Herald, and Hounds go together, Possessed go after light vehicles, Berzerkers go after infantry/force saves on characters/ MCs, Mauler and thirster go for big tanks first then other targets. Bloodleters deepstrike and go after MEQ, Cultists run forward and either die for blood tithe or sit on objectives with Objective secured.

I cant decide if i really need the drake for anti air or if geting rid of it for another mauler/Hounds would be more beneficial.

Not convinced the armour is worth it on the Lord I'd swap it for the axe of ruin so you can summon 2 MCs in a turn (well sort of 3). Pair the axe with a fist for extra attacks all at Ap2 and with sigil his cost remains the same.

I would cut the extra men from every unit (except the Hounds). Lower unit sizes means more blood tithe and its not like Berzerkers, Possessed or Bloodletters are great. This saves you 148 points enough to upgrade the Berzerker champion to an axe of Khorne AND get another Maulerfiend. This would help with the AT issues your list (and the codex in general) suffers from. The other option would be to drop the Helldrake and use these points to get a 2nd Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage as He stands out like a soar thumb at the moment as the obvious target. This would leave you enough points for a Spawn.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

i took another look at my list and i was thinking instead of taking another mauler maybe taking a lord with a jump pack and an axe of ruin, that way if they kill him i get a bloodthirster, if they ignore him i have an an ap2 weapon runing rampant through their back line

Something to be careful about when cutting your units down to a smaller size is that summoning a daemon prince or bloodthirster require a CSM character. You dont want all your characters to be dead by the time you're able to summon those guys (unless you're in the '3 turn waiting time for FMC's being summoned' camp, in which case disregard this as I assume you dont plan on doing any summoning).

Also summoned units have to arrive within a certain distance from units with Blood for the Blood God, so your units need to be able to survive long enough to act as beacons.

Personally I think the lightning claw on the 'zerker champ is a bit out of place. The way berzerkers deal damage is through weight of attacks, Taking a single specialist weapon like that kind of kills your champs advantage of having extra attacks.

Personally I would not drop the maulerfiend, without it you would be dangerously low on Anti-Armor.

I do love the idea of a maulerfiend jumping up and tackling planes out of the sky. ..if only

I didn't mean using the mauler for air haha, I've just been hearing allot lately that most people are ignoring the air and focusing on owning the ground now.
