Hi, this is my first post to dakka, excuse me for my english being poor. Im from Bosnia and Hercegovina, enoguh of interducing

Im playing a 1000 pts game. One against Darke Eldars, one against CSM. Since im biginner in gameplay I need help with my list. Before i write down the list i want you to know that these are the only miniatures that i have so no other options than these, but i need help with tactics and what weapons to choose. So here it goes:

HQ:
Librarian - Auspex, Digital Weapon, Mastery level 2, Terminator Armour, Force Sword
(Im not sure what i want with him, since he is the only HQ i have, i thought to deploy him with Terminators, and use some psyh powers to buff them, but not sure which discipline is the best to buff terminators???)

Elite:

Drednought - (tactics with him will be to sute from distance and suporte my units)
Twin Linked Autocannon, TL Lascannon

Terminator Squad: ( Tactics: slow advence, want opponent's army to shoot on them)

2xChainfista, CM Launcher, 4x Sboltera i Sargent with Power sword

Troops:

Tactical squad 9x - transport Drop Pod ( the goal is to combat squad them, flamer and power fist one side, multi melta other side)
Flamer, Multi-Melta
Sargent - Melta Bomb, Bolter, power fist and Teleporter Homer

Tactical squad 4x - transport Rhino (youst more meat, objective capture)
Missile Launcher
Sargent- Bolter, Combi Weapon, Melta Bomba

Heavy:

Devastator Squad- ( and here is my biggest problems I dont know where to spare points so i can equip devestators with 3xplasma cannon's and one Misile Launcer or Lascannon, or Melta)
Lascannon, Multi-Melta, 2xPlasma Cannon


So help guys, what tactic to use, what to expect from Dark Eldar player ? CSM played befor so i know what he have ...

So to free up some points I wouldnt play with the powerfirst, itll get challenged out or kill something useless IMO. Why a teleporter homer if you are walking your termies? With the devs if have plasma cannons I would do missle launcher with them for range capability. Maybe instead of the small tactical having a missile give it a lascannon. See if your opponents will let the Dread have dual autocannons instead of las and auto as this leads to target priority choices, one is good for taking out armor, the other light/infantry.

I would drop the digital weapons and auspex maybe too if you need to free up points. Good luck, you wont know what you like till you play a few rounds. I have only played a few and I learn more and more with each round.

You are right no need for teleport homer, ill try with dual autocannons for infantry, and devestators with lascannons or Plasma Cannons + Misile Launcher for Heavys, also i forgot on "challanges" in CC so ill drop power fist too and gice sargent combi melta .... thx for input ....

Yea with every game you learn so more so ill try this list against Dark Eldars

One more question: What should i try to take down first in Darke Eldars army, since im playing against them ?

Imho. If you are taking any Librarian other than Tigirius in Codex Space marine, Telepathy is your best choice. Not only you have the chance of getting "Invisibility", you can also get the Psychic Shierk by default. So you are surely getting at least a good power under most situation.

I would arm the Librarian with storm shield, and tank AP2 wounds at front with 3++. If the enemy shots or attacks are too hot, then Look out Sir with 5++ Terminators behind him. If you turely attach the Libby with them I would also vote for that Auspex if you know you will fight Dark Eldar, sometimes every single nerf on enemy cover save would count.

The Terminator weapons and usage are not optimised. CML are good for Terminators that are walking up field due to range. But 2 chainfist are not good as you will have more than 2 turns and maybe 3 to walk towards the enemy tanks before launching a charge. If you are deep striking them, Assualt Cannon is better pick.

I agree with Righteousrob on the issue of Dreadnought. Better arm it with 2 TL autocannon to shoot anything that falls out of the enemy Rhino / Venom/Raider. Or just shoot down that AV 10 DE skimmer with semi-volume of fire.

Tactical are generally Ok. But the 10men one is better to arm melta and combi melta instead of multi melta. That multi melta will be snap firing, while the melta gun will shoot normally. Just drop them as aggressive as possible to get in within 6 inch. If youbare not taking that many effective melta weapons. I would propose the Devastator arm with all Lascannons, at least 2 LC and 2 ML. Just look out for Heldrake from CSM. It has the capability to wipe out your whole Tac or Dev squad on the 1st turn it come in. So if you see CSM army have that thing. Hide your expensive Dev squad in the Rhino.
