If GamesWorkshop decided to go on Dragon's den, how do you think it will go if they proposed their current business model?

I think Jeremy Clarckson's P45 mini car thing would get better received a second time.

The concept of "miniatures" would get warped into a toy line because one of the judges has contacts in that industry. The Grimdark would also get toned down for not being kid-friendly. The plastic would be suggested to be a much cheaper alternative and prices would go down to $10 for 5 models or so.

Also, collectables are popular right now, so Warhammer would either go the way of Skylanders or Magewars. 40k would have all its weaponry replaced with lasers and maybe missiles.

Pretty much this, with an added laugh track while the Sharks make snappy quips amongst themselves.

Some of them might bite, and considering that guy in the middle, He'd probably buy them outright and tell them to work for him cleaning out his toilets.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

If any of the sharks were also gamers - they would mock them terribly.

They are effectively in the "dark ages" of customer engagment and interaction.

Your business model is what? Can you explain that?

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Same thing that would happen if any other niche hobby shop went on. That is what kickstarters are for.

If clarkson but his tiny car on kickstarter, he would probably have been fully funded in minutes... which is the downside of kick starter.

Sharks - Can we see your revenue and profit for the last 3 years? Oh, it seems to be going down. What's the problem?
GW - We don't really know what the problem is. We don't do market research, that stuff is for suckers.
Sharks - Well, since you don't do market research, what are you doing to reverse this trend?
GW - We're just kind of throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. Invalidating core products in much shorter time frames, raising prices 3-5x the rate of inflation, things like that.
Sharks - Aren't those the kind of things that caused your customers to stop spending money on your products in the first place?
GW - Uh....
Sharks - I'M OUT!

I see it more like:

GW: We need £10m for a new game, in exchange for the ability to buy the new game at full RRP.
Sharks: What is this game about?
GW: We can't tell you.
Sharks: Out.
