I've done a quick search on USMC paint schemes on the FOW and BA sites to not much avail. From what I can gather, they generally used the same olive drab base color as the US army with some vehicle camo variants applied in the field individually. Ironically I'm actually planni g on using this possibly in a scifi setting but just wanted to make sure I didn't miss any typical colors/camo. I know infantry had some patchy bright camo (seen in old John Wayne movies) but I didn't see any tanks with it. Is my google fu weak or is the above pretty much the case? Thanks in advance.

Most vehicles would have been plain Olive Drab from the factory.

However, some units did camo paint their vehicles, generally in response to local conditions, time on the ground and local commanders orders or after field modifications had been fitted.

4th Marine Tank Battalion had a three (or even four) tone Sand/Green/Brown scheme, that they sported on Iwo Jima.

5th Marine Tank Battalion seem to have used a Green/Brown camo on some vehicles, also on Iwo Jima.

3rd USMC when landing on Guam had some three tone camo painted LVTs.

Thanks. I had hoped it would have standard been a little different before field modifications but so be it. Having it be the same from the factory does save me a bit on paints I already have!

You could try looking at WOT and copying the camouflage patterns in the game, plenty of interesting schemes that were used at some point in the [excluding early scheme] there.

Yeah standard was OD Green, with a few individual variants depending on the environment.
