Cool apocalypse terrain!

The random barriers for Terminator don't do much for me though.

Their scenery looks better in the pictures than it does in the real world. Thats just my opionion though, I know a lot of people were happy with theirs, I wasnt though.

Looking at the mailbox and the vending machine I can't help but think there must have ben a way to design construction of those pieces that didn't include having such ugly tabs on the legs of the mailbox and the bottom of the vending machine.

The tabs are necessary to hold the parts firmly together without the need for glue. Aesthetically the tabs may not look the best but they are a necessary evil.

I got the sci-fi set but didn't back the fantasy set. The sci-fi set is very nice, and I have no issue with the print quality but it took a good bit of work and time to put together a lot of slots needed adjusting - they've refined the tools for the fantasy set so hopefully it won't be so much of an issue. It's a clever modular system and does look great all assembled - no need to paint anything. All that said mine doesn't get used anymore if I'm playing a board game I'll just use what's in the box I don't think it needs added 3D effect. If I'm playing a tabletop game I prefer plastic and resin terrain which I now have a huge and still growing collection of so the card terrain just kind of got side lined.

Still great to see them going from strength to strength and getting involved in other franchises like Terminator and legoburner mentioned getting advice from Battle Systems for the Maelstroms Edge card stock.

No, the tabs are necessary with the way they chose to design these.

I know they could have been designed differently to minimize them. I've built enough MDF products that don't end up with ugly tabs sticking out to be pretty confident in saying this.

Zombicide compatible terrain! That is pure genius and plays to the strength of the card terrain, imo (interiors of buildings and the like).

The tabs really don't bother me. This stuff looks great. I wish they were going to release this stuff sooner. Bad enough it's got to go through a kickstarter, then we'll have to wait probably half a year after that. I really want to build a post apocalyptic table.

I have like $800 of their sci-fi sets, they are absolutely gorgeous... at least in the boxes/wrapping paper, I havent bothered to assemble them yet, despite taking delivery over a year ago (maybe closer to 2).

I'm not one for card terrain generally, but that stuff looks lovely. The furniture and debris really brings it to life.

The buildings.. awesome..
The saw horses/barricades.. fantastic
The roads.. very very helpful

That furniture though.. eesh, can't say I like the tabs coming off of it. Admittedly, it was the same way I felt about the first BS and still is.
Considering how small of a portion of the pledge that will likely be, I don't see a major problem there

I would LOVE to have 3 or 4 of those. I'll probably only be able to afford one, but even so. I really want that.

Stupid work made me miss the early birds. I am absolutely putting in a pledge for a block when I get home.

One thing to note that nobody has mentioned, the steet section is a mouse pad style game mat! Apparently there is enough stuff in the base pledge to actually cover two of the mats.

This looks perfect for Zombicide. Not sold on the scatter pieces, the tabs sticking out everywhere ruin it for me. But for board game use I could live with it.

What are the mats made out of, couldn't see that anywhere. If they are mouse mat style like some of mantic's recent ones I could be interested just for those.

Also I know their using Hasslefree models in the photos, if so where's the giant spiderlegged guy from, I don't recognise it at all.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

Yeah, the very low EB count is upsetting. Day one backer means squat if you weren't lucky enough to grab one of those EBs.

Outside of that, the other two things that are off-putting are the tabs on the furniture and the lack of a grid on the road sections. That's really frustrating and hopefully they can change that.

Otherwise, I like it pretty well. Yes.. their products definitely look better in the pictures. A big part of that has to do with the fact that he edges the pieces with a marker. It also helps if you only use card terrain. As soon as you add in resin or even MDF terrain, the illusion from the printed card loses a lot of it's magic. I'm currently in for one block. Not feeling bad about backing this but financially I don't know that I'll be able to stay committed to this one. If he offered a cheaper version without the mousepad it would certainly be easier.

The spider guy might be from Malifaux.. I saw him while browsing websites recently and I think that's where it was but I'm not 100% sure.. I hit up some pretty obscure sites while looking around.
