Hysterical Games


Here is the news…

Hysterical Games is to produce a new version of the classic “WW2 fantasy” miniatures game Panzerfäuste.

If you don’t know what Panzerfäuste is, in the most basic terms it is a game where standard fantasy races replace humans as the protagonists in WW2. So we have “German” Dwarves, “French” Gnomes, “British” Orcs etc.

The new version will be a completely different game to the original. The first edition was a section level skirmish game, the new version will be a reinforced platoon level mass battle game for thirty to fifty figures a side. This means that not only will the basic infantry be produced for the game, but we will also be producing support weapons along with the armoured war-beasts that take on the role of tanks in the world of Panzerfäuste.

The original skirmish game will not die and will continue to be available and you can use the new miniatures with it, so in effect there will be two Panzerfäuste games available for you to play, a squad level skirmish one and a platoon level mass battle one depending on what takes your fancy.

We will be starting the project by concentrating on the start of the Great Dwarven War in Panzerfäuste, focusing our initial efforts on the Dwarf, Gnome, Orc and Troglodyte armies. After that we will move onto the Dark Elves, Ogres, Rats etc and then…. Well, let’s just say the list of armies and troop types that we want to see produced is extremely long!

A team of sculptors, artists and writers are currently busy working on some wonderful new miniatures and some beautiful colour art for the game, as well as the rulebook itself. So please keep following this page where we will be posting regular updates and sneak peaks of the miniatures and artwork as soon as we can.

If you are at Salute tomorrow pop along and say hello to Rob on the Prodos stand as he will have a picture of the first Dwarf infantry renders. Also, as the miniatures will be manufactured by Prodos, have a look at the Warzone Resurrection figures as that is the level of detail we are going for!

I hope you are as excited by this news as we at Hysterical Games are. Hopefully, together, we can make Panzerfäuste the game of 2015 – and beyond!

Cheers guys! Yes, it's true! We're going to be making this great little game!
WW1/WW2 is the theme, mixing a little of both but with more emphasis on the WW2 side of things.
Obviously, I will try to post updates here as often as possible (or more accurately, when I remember!).

Interesting. I don't know anything about Panzerfauste but a Historical Fantasy WWII game could be pretty neat! Makes me think of Flintloque and Slaughterloo, all though I sincerely hope the figures will be significantly better than what Alternative Armies puts out (they're some of the worst sculpts I've ever seen in my life).


Will have to keep an eye on this.

haha! Our figures will be sculpted using the same sculptors Prodos Games use and the same methods. They are manufacturing it afterall!

Another note, I sculpted a few of the more recent AA models for Flintloque, but I love their charm.

The Panzerfauste figures will be absolutely fantastic AND charming though!

Yeah, I've heard some people describe the Flintloque/Slaughterloo stuff as charming. Different strokes and all that.

It should be noted that this is a Prodos Games project. While it's not a licensed product like AvP: The Hunt Begins(at least I don't think it is-may be wrong there) I would advise caution.

They really do appear to have spread themselves way too thin...

Hilarity will kick in once they start hyping StarCraft good and proper.
