I would like to show you how to make trees for you dioramas.

Steel wire (can be copper as well) was cut in pieces about 1/3 longer than tree should be and than I start to twist the bundle.

Ready twisted trees - I made 3 pieces.

For bases I used 1mm HIPS

Easiest way to use hot glue - it glues quickly and hold good.

Time to make branches.
I used water with White Glue and paper towels

Paper towel was tear in stipes and wrapped branches. After that I put watered glue.

HINT - one branch --> glue, another branch --> glue

Each tree was wrapped different amount of branches to see how they will look at the end because it's bit time consuming.

Painted in black using Vallejo Black Primer with airbrush.

Next some browns and greys

As finish some drybrush with two shades of grey.

Time for some green.
From Woodland Scenics I have to colours of Clump Foliage - Medium i Light Green

For glueing very good choice is glue from Woodland Hob-e-Tac. First I put him and than wait 15 minutes after he was clear and tacky - that is his main difference compared to other glues.

And here are finished trees

As you can see no big difference between trees so in case of using this kind of foliage there is no big need of making branches so ideal.

In next article I'll show how to make trees from Woodland Scenics KITs

awesome, looks great

The wolves go for the throat.
We go for the eyes.
Then the tongue.
Then the hands.
Then the feet
Then we skin the crippled remains.

Almost identical to the way I did mine. Only difference once I used polyfill and coarse turf instead of clump foliage.

But in the end it looks pretty much the exact same anyway.
