Pure Grey Knights list (no allies), Tournament Standard (1850)

Yes, I know it's a typical list, but I don't really see other competitive options. Sure, Purifiers can roll up in Rhinos, but that will typically give the opponent First Blood on the Vehicles, leaving the Purifiers in the open to try to foot-slog the rest of the way.

Feedback? What sorts of things might other armies field that would be a hard counter to this list?

Stalwart Strike Squad Grey Knight

you are having the same problem i am. dreads are the meat of all lists and libbys dint seem to have a place because the army is now an alpha strike army and the squads are to pricey to protect him. but here i think you are wasting points on the storm raven. you should drop 1 termi and a dread knight and take the nemesis strike force. then depending on you (tournament standard, mine is lvo fromat) take a knight Lancer or knight castigator depending on your local meta and preference. the Libby as i mentioned before will become dead weight in alpha style armies because it dies just as easy as a paladin. so go ahead and grab a brother captain or grand master with the 15 point Armour. if you have the points hammer and cannon. after that put halberds where you can instead of swords. that +1 is great for 2 points.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
as for what will be a hard counter to this list. Eldar, knights, bike space marines (command squad) GK centurion star, Flyrant or daemon list. one storm raven will take 2-3 turn to kill a hive tyrant and more to kill a nurgle prince. without any incinerators on those 3 dreads. nid swarm formation will do it as well. but i am talking top lists. the list you made is actually a good list, but the problem is GK suffer from having anything that can counter the current meta.
for 1500 you can run to nem strike forces and have 4 knights with 2 squads of termies and 2 HQs. food for thought.

If i were you i would do what Inksoul has said, take out the storm raven. Putting interceptors in there is pointless because they move 12" normally, and they have personal teleporters that lets them hope 30" to where ever they want, so it gets rid of the need for the storm raven. You wouldn't be able to fit that much in there anyway!

With those spare points, I'd kit the Librarian with the Curiass of Sacrifice giving him TDA, FNP and It will not die. Smacking him in one of the terminator squads should cause a lot of hassle, with hammerhand being constantly cast ontop of other buffs. Putting him in the Terminators also means that he isnt wondering around on his lonesome, and means he is less likely to get picked off by high strength weapons!

You might also want to stick some more weapons on those dreadknighs, Heavy incinerators can cause alot of tears against blob armies, especially with 3 of them, torrent helps a lot as well!

Hope this helps dude

Interesting points, but if I may clarify my list:

The Interceptors would Combat Squad, which means I'll have 7 units that can shunt into battle on turn one. That's 4 Incinerators that could clear out Swarms wherever they're hiding or just about anything with a 4+ save. And the combined firepower of 3 Heavy Psycannons should be able to erase at least one heavy vehicle or Monstrous Creature right off of the bat.

The Librarian would ideally be offering Gate of Infinity to one unit of Terminators, while the other Terminator squad would either Deep Strike or ride in on the Storm Raven.

The Stormraven's primary purpose is anti-air, as it is the only unit in the Codex with Skyfire.

This list produces 12 Warp Charges, has 2 Objective Secured units, and another 7 units that have a 12" movement + a once per game 30" shunt.

I was trying to avoid putting too many eggs in one basket. I could drop all four of the Hammers to put Heavy Incinerators on two of the Dreadknights, but that would remove the Terminators' and Interceptors' ability to damage AV13+ in melee. Would that be better?
