Ok So Irecently bought a Decent size Tau army off Ebay. The Buyer not ship until about 7 Days after Purchase and a little push. So he fianlly sends it out and Gives me 2 tracking numbers, But they lead to the same item, but different locations, and Havent really made much progress(shipped on friday). Is this normal through Fedex? Or is something a little off? Ive never had this issue before and so I was just Curious. Also, Ive never dealt with Fedex(not in a long time atleast).

I usually use and get USPS so I can't speak to fedex but does the tracking give you the destination address or zipcode? I've had tracking take a purely east of the mississipi package (shipped and received there) through arizona for some god awful reason that delayed it about a week with USPS. Things can take non-direct routes but I'd follow the tracking closely. Is it weird that he/she shipped with two packages? Yes, but it's not impossible. Again, until they're listed as received on the tracking or "out for final delivery" and clearly NOT in your area, I wouldn't do anything. Ebay is VERY unfriendly towards sellers with their policies so you probably covered (especially if the seller is new or has a low rating). I would in the meantime clarify why there are two tracking numbers with two different apparent destinations to make sure he didn't accidently update you with someone else's info (which is innocently possible with a newbie seller).

Well He told me that one of the Tracking #'s is from his old address. The # number only list the city and state. Hasnt been Shipped out by Fedex, Just scanned. Ive requested from email notifications, so I will be updated whenever it moves/DOes anything. Ive notice this is the first item he has sold, but not the first transaction he has made on Ebay(according to rating reviews). Im hoping things work out and im just being paranoid.

Id wait a little bit for the tracker to update.

I think you still have like a full 30 days before ebay disputes IIRC (should go read up on that)

Crazy things can happen with shipping. so keep an eye out.

He could easily have generated an online shipping label, but not have shipped the item yet. As soon as you generate the label, you'll see a tracking message saying something about how FEDEX has received details but doesn't have the package yet. Also, remember that they don't do much on the weekends in terms of receiving shipments from customers.

If you generate a FedEx overnight shipping label on friday afternoon, then drop it off at a FedEx location late in the day on Saturday, the earliest it'll get there might be Tuesday... From FedEx's perspective, they got the package after overnight cutoff time on Saturday, so they shift to the next business day... which is Monday. Overnight from Monday is Tuesday.

It's important to know how the shipping companies work.

TL: DR; If a package is shipped via FedEx on a Friday, don't expect any real tracking updates until Monday or Tuesday at the earliest. If you don't see anything by Tuesday, ask the guy if he actually dropped the package off with FedEx.

Thank you Kris. Im glad you posted this info. Ive had very little Exp. with Fedex and do not know how exactly they do things.
