These are two different lists with the new craftworld warhost as a foundation. Went with Shuriken Cannons on the bikes to utilize shred from the formation. One list features an extremely fast and mobile force, more than half of which is BS 5, that is a TAC approach with great game against flyers. The other is similar to a certain extent, but loses the anti-flyer for a wraith host looking to utilize the 6+6 movement phase, specifically for the wraithguard who, though without transport still have a 24" threat range on turn 1 assuming they deploy as far forward as possible (6" move 6" run 12" range on guns). This is an updated post from a few days ago where changes were made due to great community feedback. These lists are definitely better, I know people will still decry the two non-scythe units in the wraith list, but honestly they do have a 24 inch threat range, they may be left alone a bit more due to there being a scythe unit in a wave serpent that can't be ignored, and frankly I felt it too cost intensive to go all three units with scythes in a transport. Again looking for further feedback, thanks!

Both lists look strong. For the first, what are you planning on keeping in reserve? I only ask as the autarch might be a bit of a waste if its just for the crimson death - they roll separately to come on so if you really need one turn 2 you are very likely to get it rolling for 3.

The only other thing I would question is the mass of hawks - I've not used them this edition so you might fond them really good but on paper I take spiders, spiders, spiders and more spiders!

The only other small thing is I've never found the spinerette rifle worth the points on the spider Exarch - rapid fire 18'' means the unit has to close up more than usual which can put them in more danger and thee volume of bs5 rending they have deals with armour anyway. You can almost get another spider for the price.

Worthy questions. I plan on keeping all the hawks in reserve as well, so 6 separate units, hence the autarch.

I still have a solid unit of 10 spiders, but the large amount of hawks is for a number of reasons: they just do everything pretty well and are cheap. All three units can come down without scatter, for a measly hundred points and change, drop a large pie plate when they arrive and pack assault 3 weapons which are great for light infantry, they then get to make 18" moves and get a "free" haywire attack against flyers in the movement phase, and with 18" movement and haywire grenades (6" range) they have a 24" anti-tank threat range.

The spinneret rifle, I agree, isn't unbelievable, but I also noticed I don't have a great way of dealing with 2+ armor saves accept for using the crimson death. Even the 10 spiders without a spinneret were only average 3 dead terminators per round of shooting, the rifle brought it up to 4.5, so I thought it was a worthwhile inclusion - but I could live without them for sure.

Fair enough on the hawks then, as I say, I have no experience with them.

See how the rifles go in play testing, they are not a waste but you might not come up against enough 2+ armour to bother, depending on your meta.
