So after almost a decade hiatus, I've got a bit of disposable income and thought I'd try getting back into this glorious hobby. My goal was to find an army that has a low model count since transport was always an issue for my LGS. So what I really want is a low model army full of interesting characters, not necessarily competitive...but fun to play and easy to carry to/from the mall where my LGS is located.

HQ:
Librarian ML3 with Storm-bolter and Nemesis Force Sword (140)

Techmarine with Storm-bolter, Nemesis Force Halberd, and Servo-Harness (95)

Elite:
5 x Purifiers with 4 Nemesis Force Halberds, 1Incinerator (143)
1 x Rhino with Dozer blade, Extra armour, (50)

1 x Vindicare Assassin (150)

Troops:
5 x Terminators with 4 Nemesis Force Halberds, 1 Psycannon (188)

5 x Terminators with 4 Nemesis Force Halberds, 1 Psycannon (188)

Heavy Support:
1 x Nemesis Dreadknight with Personal Teleporter, Heavy Psycannon, Heavy Incinerator (215)

This is about 1169 points and I want to try getting to 1500 and calling it an army, maybe combine it with SM or IG if I want to go bigger. The idea I had was to stick the Techmarine with the group of Purifiers in the Rhino, use the Vindicare against vehicles while hiding in Techmarine-bolstered cover, and I don't know...deep strike the Terminator squads with the Librarian tagging along?

Any suggestions?

I like to put my Vindicare Assassin on an objective when possible, just in case it turns out to be a Skyfire Nexus, because a S10 Turbo-penetrator shot at AP1 that Ignores Cover would be awesome at taking down fliers if he could use his full Ballistic Skill. Even if the Objective is something else that doesn't help him, he can still hold it from the cover of a reinforced ruin and shoot at ground targets.

To make your list 1500 points, I'd definitely add another Dreadnought (they work best in pairs in my experience), and a Stormraven with the TL Lascannon and TL Multi-melta (it's the army's only anti-air). That does mean shaving some points off of your list though.

You could get those points by switching out the Purifiers and their Rhino for Interceptors (5 Interceptors with an Incinerator is 135 points). Fielding 2 Dreadknights and a squad of Interceptors give you a lot of mobility for claiming objectives or simply for getting in your opponent's face.

I typically give my Librarian Sanctic Powers so he can use Gate of Infinity to relocate my Terminators if the need arises.

Several of your points values seem to be off (like on the Termies) and it looks like you're sticking the Vindicare in the same Detachment as the GK.

Put at least the Hammer on the NDK. Force is a must-have for a monster-hunter.

Take a Stormraven. You have the points. It fills the anti air and long range anti armor which your GK army lack.

And of course add a sword or hammer on Dread Knight. And change some Halberd to Falcon. Unless you met a WK or GUO, falcon will perform better.
