So how long has the Necron FAQ been missing?

When was it taken down, and does anyone have any idea when they'd be reposting (updating?) it?

Have they done this kind of thing before? (just straight out remove a FAQ)
If so, what should we expect to happen, and when?

Did they ever release an FAQ for the newest codex? Last one I had was for the previous codex after 7th edition was released.

It has been missing since the current codex came out. Since they havent made one for th current codex yet. GW dont like making FAQ's, Probably too lazy to bother..

Don't be silly. GW don't make FAQ's because their rules are perfect as they are.

GW just doesn't do FAQ's anymore for some reason. I think we've had one FAQ release post 7E?

Rules support is simply not something GW is interested in.

According to this, there's been a few released this year.
There had been a 7th ed. Necrons one as well up until a little while ago, but it's only recently disappeared.

No, they've acknowledged that their rules aren't perfect. The current policy is to not release FAQs because they don't want to build a 'cult of personality' around their studio guys, and because gamers would prefer (apparently) to sort out rules issues amongst themselves rather than referring to an 'official' rules document.

Which is true. I resolved all of the rules issues with the 6th and 7th edition codexes by not buying them. If and when GW start taking their job seriously again, I might reconsider.

GW took down the old Necron and Eldar FAQs a few days ago

hopefully that means a new round up FAQ updates

Also, there's a few FAQs that have been released this year already.

Yeah they managed to revert the CSM faqs to the First versions of it who happens to be released 2 years ago, and it still not up to date, and the others faqs are hardly anything of value/help.

Oh cool they buffed the Orks Deffstorm Megashoota so that it's not the same strength as a footslogging Big Shoota (5str 5ap to now 6 str and 4 ap). Oh and a little blurb that lets Defkoptas do the bombing run since they gave it bombs but never addressed the issue that they are jetbikes not flyers. I never looked at the FAQ rofl. I didn't know they existed till this thread. DakkaDakka community, I thank you.
