Options: Replace Hand weapons with
- Warpfire Muskets: 10 Points
- Warpstone Crossbows: 15 Points
May upgrade 1 Cultist to Profit of the Rat: 5 points
May upgrade 1 cultist to Standard Barer: 5 Points

Special Rules:

Thou shall convert, not Kill:
After a succseful Charge, a unit of Cultist may attemt to convert the unit they have charged instead of fighting. The unit must take a leadership test, with a Bonus of -1 for every Standard bearer and Character model included in the unit. If failed, the Unit is under control of the Ülayer who controls the cultists for the rest of the game. If past, the Cultist Unit suffers d6 wounds, and can not attack. If the cultist Unit contains a Profit of the Rat, the enemy recives no Bonus for Charachter Models.

We are not worthy:
If the Unit of Culist flees, itis removed from the game. They would rater commit Suicide than Run away.

Weapons:

Warpfire Musket:
this musket hads the Special rule: Flame Attacks

Warpstone Crosbows:
S:*
Role an Artillery Die before Shooting. The Warpstone crossbow has strength equal to the number on the Die.
If a missfire is roled: remove the intire unit from the game.


I would sugust using the Dwarf THunderers- Quarellers for the Cultist, with Plague Monk bits.

Well. A few things:

Dwarfs are the most stubborn race in all of Warhammer. There's no way they would become cultists devoted to the god of the creatures that so many of their grudges come from.
Sure, there are Chaos Dwarfs, but that was a little different. They mutated and stuff.

10pts for M3 BS4 S3 T4? So...better at shooting than regular Dwarfs. But cheaper. No.

And Champions just have +1BS or +1A 90% of the time.

Weapon upgrades should be points/model, not one cost for the whole unit.

And...so you've got a ranged unit that has a power that only works when they charge?
And that power happens to be that the enemy make a Leadership roll or SWITCH SIDES? No. All the no. There's not enough no to say no to that. That is potentially the most powerful mechanic I've ever seen suggested. All you need is one bad Leadership roll and POP! That unit of 40 Savage Big 'Uns is mine now. Or how about 18 Trolls? Or the Everqueen and a deathstar of White Kinds with the BotWD?
It's far worse than insta'-killing a unit. You're erasing their unit, and adding one to your side. And then you could Overrun and possibly do it again?

What's minimum unit size? 20? Are they a Special choice?

Skaven converts would be gibbering, disease-riddled things that Moulder and Skryre use in their experiments and the other Clans use for food.

And, well...apparently 6th edition is rather different in several key ways than 8th.

What are you trying to do here, exactly? Add a new unit to the Skaven army? Add some variety to the Dwarfs? Or just make a new unit for fun?
Your intent will change my suggestions.

I got talked into this by a friend.
But still, I thought it would be cool to add something. They wouldn't really be members of skaven society, more like, they would follow them around to earn the right to become a member of their race, or something.

If a group of...anyone came up to some Skaven and said "we want to be part of your society", the Skaven would gleefully pop them in a vat, hook them up to a generator, clap them in chains, or eat them.
All fine ways to join the society.

As far as the actual rules...yeah. There's just too much going on.

1. No new weapons. If they had warpfire crossbows and such, the Skaven would just kill them for it.
These guys should have hands weapons. No armor.

2. Same stats as other Skaven. BS4 doesn't even make sense for Dwarfs. T4, M3, and Ld8 doesn't integrate into the army well.

3. Give them Strength in Numbers and Scurry Away! to keep things streamline. Like how they made everything in the Vampire book Undead.

4. No converting enemies. Not like that, anyway. If anything, they should only pursue and overrun D6 inches, while they capture new specimens, slaves, and sacrifices.

5. We Are Not Worthy is interesting, but already done in this army.

You really need to figure out what sort of unit this is. I would think...some sort of anvil or tar pitting with minor abilities. Maybe dependent on which Clan they belong to. Pestilens cultists pop open with acidic pus when you kill them. Skyre cultists can generate Zzzap! bolts. Moulder cultists are faster and angrier. Etc.
...but then, I'd ask why these aren't, say, upgrades for Giant Rats and such. So maybe not.
What do you want out of them?
