I was looking for this on Dakka, thanks for sharing. Really excited about the prospect of a new campaign... really really fething disappointed by the look of the new sculpts. There was a noticeable drop in quality last season, between the game components (which I assume were digital sculpts) and some of the later promo figures which were sculpted by hand. I thought it was just an ad-hoc solution for promos, but now it looks like they're going fullretard on the hand sculpting. I'd like to back this, but I literally can't see any miniatures I want. Weak.

They looked pretty fantastic in person, so I don't think the quality is down....but we may simply have different aesthetics that appeal to us?

I think the newer AQ models look way better. The sculpts are fantastic, better than virtually all the TFK ones. AQ was a great experience and is the top-played KS game in my group next to zombicide. Most of the later AQ sculpts are superior to the core box sculpts and they keep getting better.

I really like the etching they put on fabrics on their sculpts. Turns flat surfaces into really dynamic paint jobs via simple washes. Great sculpting technique which goes a long way.

I know some people complain about 'aesthetics' but I would rather take anime depictions of non-Japanese features or exaggerated 'one piece' looks over homogenized anime generics. I also will take an Orc, Undead or demon any day over a weird japanese RPG creature. Simply put, AQ is a better product both in game, theme and quality of product. I can't wait to back this.

Those tiles are certainly much easier on the eyes compared to the old ones. And I certainly like the artwork for the new characters, would love to see some sculpts for them.

I might have some photos. Let me dig through my phone.

And let me just say I'm more excited about Masmorra than Inferno, and I love Arcadia Quest.

Masmorra was a damned blast.

Actually, I just noticed there's a spoiler tag at the bottom of DaveC's post with pictures of some of them.

Silly me.

Edit: Also, how long is a game of Masmorra supposed to take? I do like the ones that can be completed in shorter sessions since you can fit them in easier.

We learned and played a 5 player game in.... maybe 45 mins?

I can't imagine a game with 4-5 players that know how to play would last longer than 30-40 mins.

Well, perhaps. The sculpt that really sticks in my head is Pigsy, notably his teeth. It kind of reminds me of the old RT scalpel into GS sculpts.

Arcadia Quest

The Judge has rendered his verdict and finds the heroes' of Arcadia Quest Inferno wanting. Are you willing to step up and prove him wrong? All minis previewed are final plastics. Kickstarter coming later this month!

so that's AQ 2 confirmed for November (wonder if they'll wait out SDE or launch just as it's finishing?)
