Hi there, welcome to my blog of doom. Here, I will be posting up projects, commissions and lost of awesome stuff so sit back, grab a beer and enjoy the ride.

Here is the current backlog status...
-Five regular Terminators - In progress, they are base coated and have started adding a green wash to some of them. I need to buy some terminator bases for them though, I'm thinking about getting some special sculpted, scenic ones.
-A squad of Khorne Marines converted to Nurgle - In progress, they are base-coated and have started adding washes and detailing them. Still got a long way to go with them before they are completed though.
-Custom Built Huron Blackheart - Basecoated at the moment.
-Custom Built Kharn - Basecoated at the moment.
-Metal Chaos Space Marine Lord of Khorne - Basecoated at the moment.
-17 Plague Zombies - In varying states of completion; some are complete, some are nearly complete and some are basecoated.
-20 Night Goblins - They just need detailing and to finish off the red shafts of the spears.
-One Troll - Started painting the skin, but nothing else.
-Custom Bolt-Thrower - Basecoated.
-Two Infinity Aleph Minis - Basecoated.
-Ten Custom Female Savlar Chem-Dogs - Basecoated.
-One Plague Drone - Got the fleshy areas nearly done, still has a long way to go though

I have just finished off a commission for someone. I had to paint up 38 Skaven clanrats, which was a massive pain in the ass, but it's satisfying seeing them done now. I'm pretty pleased with how they have turned out. They are a pretty decent tabletop standard for horde miniatures. Hopefully the client will be happy with them.

So my target for the end of the week is to have the last of the Plague Zombies painted up ready for a game of 40k on the weekend and to have the Night Goblins painted up and put in my display cabinet. What I have left to do on the Night Goblins is to paint up the metal bits, the brown rope, highlight the black robes and paint the rims of the bases black. The Plague Zombies need black boots and ammo pouches, metal areas painted up, purple wash on the skin, green wash on the armour, a drybrush on the whole mini, agrax earthshade on the whole mini and the rims on the bases painted black. So as you can see I still have quite a bit to do, but I can get it done.

I'm pretty excited about the 40k game, I haven't played 40k in a while!

Some people are like 'oh no! GW changed the base size! I need to re-base my entire army now' I'm sitting there thinking are you serious? As I cut roughly terminator sized bases out of a sheet of cardboard.

Hey guys! So I decided that I want to create some big models for my Nurgle army. I really want to add some big scratch builds, but want to start relatively small and work my way up to making the huge titans, learning as I go, so I thought that scratch building an Imperial Knight scale model would be the best first step. So what I have done is work on a couple of concept sketches of different possible designs for this Chaos Knight. My favourites definitely are the first and last, so I'll probably do some better detailed sketches of those two and then develop the final design and do some scale drawings.

Once I get everything on my painting backlog finished, I can begin to actually make the Knight. It will be so badass!

Thanks for reading.

Thank you.

Been working on my Terminators. I have gotten them glued to their bases and painted the bases up with a brown base colour. I think that they are looking pretty good so far.
Next what I'll be doing on them is base-coating the trim a yellow before I paint on the gold and start to dry-brush the bases.

Also, hopefully I'll get a 40k game in tomorrow.

First one to me look's the best, it's has good amount of armour, but not to much to look more like a normal chaos knight. But also not to much mutations were it's look's like an up right soul grinder. My only thing that i don't like is the fact that he looks way to much like Typhon, so maybe use the fourth knights head.

I agree, I don't really want a Typhus look, it needs to stand out and look different. I also don't want it to look too much like a soul grinder otherwise I might as well just buy a soul grinder.
I'll do some more sketches today, whilst I'm on the train to the wargaming club, I'll draw design #1 with design #4's head.

Had a good day yesterday. I went to the wargaming club, dropped of the commission and got payed. Then joined in with the new dungeons and dragons campaign.

I have also started dong a sketch of the final design for the Nurgle Knight. Some pics will be up soon.

So here is the final design for my Plague Knight. I went for design #1 for the body and design #4 for the head.
I'm pleased with the design, it has the right mix of mechanical and biological, so it looks like pretty Nurgly but not so much that it looks like a soulgrinder. What I'll be doing next is doing some sketches of the back and then do some scale-drawings.

Been painting up some more Plague Zombies. Once I finished this batch I'll only have three more to paint up, then I can cross them off my list.

I think that the rage around the new direction that Games Workshop is taking Warhammer Fantasy needs to stop. Sure it is a large departure from previous iterations of Warhammer Fantasy, which may make some long time players feel alienated. But it's time to face some hard facts. GW didn't completely change one of their core games for gaks and giggles. If Warhammer Fantasy was selling well under 8th edition they would of made a 9th edition largely the same. The fact that they completely changed the game tells me that Warhammer Fantasy was a dying game that clearly wasn't making enough money off it's remaining hardcore fans and wasn't getting enough new players to keep it alive.

Need miniatures painted?

What is your pricing structure like?
My pricing structure is very simple. Unlike other commission miniature painters, I don't have set levels like 'table top' or 'display quality'. Why? Because everyone's idea of say, tabletop quality is different. One person's table top quality is another person's 'display quality' and vice versa. I keep things simple and charge per hour of painting [current rate - £3]. So the more hours spent on a commission, the better the outcome will be. All you have to do is state how many hours you would like me to spend on your miniatures and I will paint them for the agreed upon number of hours, no more, no less. If a client wanted me to spend 10 hours on a 10 man squad of Space Marines, the total would be £30. Also, I'd would just like to point out that quality may vary depending on squad size and hours requested. If the same client wanted me to spend the same amount of time on a 20 man squad of Space Marines the quality may suffer as it's double the amount of miniatures to paint in the same amount of time.

What is the process like?
What you have to do is send me a message detailing what you would like painted up and how many hours you'd like me to spend on it. I let you know whether I can fit it in to my schedule. If so, you can either send the miniatures off to me or hand them over to me in person. I'll get them painted to the specified amount of time and take photos of them for you to review and let me know if you are happy with them. Once the photos are sent to you, you have three weeks to let me know if you are happy with them and to complete payment. Once the payment is complete I will send the painted miniatures to you, free of charge. Failure to complete payment in those three weeks will result in the miniatures becoming my property.

Here's an idea, why not put some bodies in the knight, like the brass scorpion from forge world.

That's a great Idea. When I do some more sketches I'll have to make sure to include that.

I see that the Khornemower has a set of legs from Forge World now...

Decided to have a go at some speed painting today and managed to finish painting my troll in an hour. I think that it looks pretty good for a quick paint job.

I have done a quick sketch of what the back of the Nurgle Knight will look like. I was going to go for a tank full of septic looking goo at first, but I decided to keep it simple and go for a spinal column with the ribs protruding from it.

Another big gribbly thing that I am planning on creating is a Slaaneshi Daemon Engine as I am planning on doing a Slaaneshi force.
Here is the initial rough sketch just outlining the basic idea. I want it to look quite twisted, almost surreal looking, so I took inspiration from films such as The Exorcist and The Thing. It's going to have that arched back pose, like Regan in The Exorcist when she's crawling down the stairs.

It will have insectoid bits protruding from it and be disturbingly gruesome like the monster in The Thing.

And I was thinking about giving it hair similar to the monsters hair in Mama or kinda like The Grudge, long black messy and creepy. I am thinking that the hair on my creature will be modelled to look like it's alive and can snatch people up.

What do you guys think?

Started working on some gruesome, daemonic-looking snails to use in tabletop games, mainly for my Nurgle army though. There's still a lot of work to do on them, but I'm pretty pleased with how they look so far. The shells are actual sea snail shells collected from the beach whilst on one of my walks. When it comes to painting them, I'll definitely be going for more of an aquatic theme.

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates, I lost my painting groove. I'll try to get some more painting done tomorrow, I promise.

I thought that I would just show you a quick hobby tip. The other day I found some old egg cartons and realized that my paints can fit in the slots. So I painted them up to make them look a little prettier. I think that they work well as cheap paint holders, although I reckon that you could use them for cheap miniature transport as well.

Here are some pics of the miniatures that I have been working on.
The Night Goblins are nearly done, I just have to finish off some details and give them a wash. The Plague Marines need a bit more work, they have been inked and I started painting up some of the metal areas. I also have some more Plague Zombies/mutants to finish as well.

Hey guys, so today I have done a bit more painting. I have just been busy detailing my custom Nurgle Huron Blackheart. I think that he has an infiltrate special rule, which allows him to infiltrate in a squad or two on to the table. I reckon he'll be great if I use him with Typhus and the Plague Zombies. I have also been working on yet another Plague Marine squad [I have way too many of them]. The Plague Marine squad is coming along pretty nicely. They started off as Khorne followers, but I have been building up the plague, slowly converting them in to Papa Nurgle's children. I still really need to get more washes from my local Gee-dubs as well (proud Nurgle followers get through a lot of citadel washes! ). Once I get the washes I can finish painting up the Plague Z's. I initially only had five zombies to finish painting, but thought that I might as well include a squad of custom built mutants (that I was trying to sell) in to the squad as well, so I actually have around fifteen to finish instead of five.

Thank you! Yeah, my paint scheme is not to everyone's taste, but no worries.

Finished painting up the looted Dwarf cannon, which I'll use as a Goblin Spear Chukka.

My aim is to get as much of my fantasy stuff that I have yet to paint, finished, as possible so I can take it all down to a big game of Age of Sigmar at the wargaming club on the weekend.
