Hello there, Dakka Legion !

As some of you might know, i am currently working on - you guess it ! - a loyalist / pre-heresy Death Guard.
I have never played Warhammer 40k, or 30k for that matter. However i went with the FOC chart on this one, as in case i will have the time to learn it sometime, i will have a good force to start playing with.

For starters, the Praetor, Assault and Breacher squads are done:

Praetor
Garro, Battle-Captain of the 7th Great Company



Assault Squad
Sergeant



Vox and Vexilla

Cool I do pre heresy dg but mine always turn out tan rather than cream how do you do yours?
gw paints if possible

White basecoat, then wash with a 50-50 mix of Lahmian Medium and Seraphim Sepia.

For larger areas such as the shields and the contemptors, i further thin it, 50-50 mix with Lahmian. It will look as dark as before, but when washing the result will be brighter

Yeah, the color scheme is original, and those models will look fantastic in a game against almost any terrain set.

@Gordon: depends, really. The large chipped areas are done before the wash. The small grey scratches are added after, and the brown/orange rust is the last one to come; being pigments, i put them on before sealing with varnish

Great color scheme. That creamy, ivory or, one might say, looks very good, and wear and rust on the armor is great. Nice work...
