Just a quick note - not a huge campaign or anything - but a guy named Christopher West who has done tons of great maps has a new Kickstarter going.

He's got 4 new designs, that look like this:

I own heaps of this guy's designs, including the great 4-sheet space station he did last time:



This map is huge and well worth it.

Anyway, pledge if you want. It'd be nice to get these designs on paper (literally!).

How big are the squares, could you use it for Heroclix?

Eyeballing the ones I have, I'd say 1" square. He used to do maps for the Star Wars clicky game... or something like that. He did a lot of SW maps.

Yeah, that sounds fine.. a little overhang at worst, but I have a feeling the actual Heroclix maps might be the same size.

Big fan of this guy's work, and I own most of his previous maps. Haven't played SWM for a while, but have been intending to dust it off, so this might be an opportune time.


Previous maps have shipped folded in an envelope, but I find that rolling them up in a tube for storage flattens them out fairly well.

I really like his stuff and I've been wanting to buy some. I just wish he'd use the mousepad style playmats instead of the paper variety.

I think he's offering non-paper versions as one of the reward levels.

Anyway, this one's funded. YAY!

That $50 level to get every map he's done as printable PDF files seems like an amazingly good deal. Just so I'm clear, he doesn't care if we take them to be printed somewhere, right? For personal use, obviously.

Cool. Backed it then. Love me some maps, and as I'm running a SW:EotE game it works out well.

Getting real close to the 8k mark, which means both new maps get funded.

He also said that this KS could be used to fund the next set of outpost maps (four maps making up another level of that space station I put in the first post). That sounds fantastic!

With 2 hours to go this project has blasted its $4000 goal and is now at $18500!!!

So with very stretch goal met now's a great time to jump in.
