IT'S REAL!

Game Empire Pasadena is finally doing our first-ever Warhammer 40,000 Grand Tournament, which means two days of 40k action in the summer!

All right everyone, here's some preliminary details:

- 1850 Points
- 5 Rounds of play, 3 games Saturday followed by 2 Games Sunday
- $20 entry

We've got a very cool prize pool that includes models, hobby supplies, and more!

In addition to the fabulous stock of prizes, we will be giving a very special prize to the winner of this event - a ticket to LVO 2016 for the 40k Championships tournament! (Hotel and airfare not provided)

Double checking but I believe you can pay the day of the event. As far as I know they can accommodate up up 60 players. I'll double check today.

Even with the built in "surprise" factor of the GT being announced beyond FB with only a month I think you guys are going to have the full 60 prior to day of so maybe do an update of how many spots are left on a weekly basis either here or on the FB event page?

Hmmm... I am sort of tired of playing those missions. We should lobby for "Battle in the Eye of Terror" to be thrown in for the hell of it!

Although I guess as long as the Relic is scattering and blowing up half my army over the course of three turns I'm ok with whatever Travis wants

I'm for an ITC mission, a book maelstrom, something from 3rd edition (e.g. That's Heavy!), and then Sunday can be another book maelstrom and Round 5 another ITC.

I'm stoked for this weekend. My Battle Company Howling Griffons are ready to play. I'll be bringing a group of about 6 with me.

I got to see the trophies and the one secret project in person on Saturday. They're pretty awesome. In case you missed the FB post here are the trophies in their purposefully overexposed, poorly lit glory!

Arghhhh I want to go to this but I dont think I can this time, should be back in september (and ill definitely be stopping by for the apoc game.. i KNOW what Tim is bringing) though. those awards look epic!

Grats to Cooper! Was a very close and hard-fought game. It could have gone either in SO many ways at SO many times! He almost won 1-0 rather than 5-0 lol!

Despite a poor personal showing of 2-3 I did my post tournament Wrap Up anyway
