What is the most ridiculous death one of your units has ever suffered?
For example, lone guardsman somehow kills your wraithknight or gaunt kills your daemon prince.

A squad of lychgaurd killed an armor line IG

In 4th(?) I had a farseer, cast Fortune on my first turn. Periled, failed the ghost helm and found out why Eldrad was T4.

Kharn charged a 10-man IG squad. Killed all but 1. Over the next three(?) turns, the lone Guardsman proceeded to butt Kharn in the face with his rifle to death.

I had a Librarian blow up two Tau Hammerheads with a well-placed Vortex of Doom and then proceed to get gibbed on a failed Death or Glory roll during the Tau player's turn.

my freind summoning list had 3 daemon princes and a lord of change sucked into the warp due to perils of the warp turn one. He sold all three after that.

Killed legion of the damned squad.... with grotz

My Chaos Lieutenant on bike sporting 2+ armor, killed himself by running into a tree.

Needed a 1 to fail the dangerious terrain check. Needed a 1 to fail the skilled rider reroll. Needed a 1 to fail his armor save.

Yup, ultimate fail.

Saint Celestine resurrecting with 1 wound (old version), jumping out of her ruins and promptly crashing into a wall and dying permanently.

I had a lone space marine sgt charge a squad of Necron warriors, do 2 wounds, and sweep the other 12, resulting in enough casualties to phase the enemy and win the game.

I once saw my friend's chaos lord stroll through the combined fire power of 2 leman russ squadrons and a barrage of heavy weapons fire, only to fall to the fire of a single infantry squad.

I once had a Warbiker unit of 6 man charge into a unit of Space Marines in ruins, lost all my guys bar the Nob with a PK, 3 through dangerous terrain, the other two and a wound on my Boss Nob through combat.

The Boss Nob then soloed the 10 man unit by himself and consolidates but not enough to get out of the ruins.

Fails dangerous terrain and dies as soon as he moves.

Back in the day when I had Sisters of Battle my first match the Cannoness was instantly killed by a grenade launcher round. The model was epicly converted to have a crossbow Bolt pistol and stuff and it died right off the bat to a platoon Guardsmen with a trusty Krak round.

Had a opponent have to make 10 2+ saves for a 5 man terminator squad. I wiped the squad. Best shooting termagaunt squad ever.

Had an Overlord Res himself over 6 times, killed many a daemon

Grimaldus and a full squad of crusaders crashed into a 5 man tactical squad and lost. That's grim, 5 veterans (power axe in here) and then 5 neophytes lost to 5 tactical marines in cc.

It took them 4 turns of combat but it happened final score 14 wounds inflicted to 2. You don't lose that badly to anyone you have hatred and eternal warrior, not to mention power weapons.

Back in 5th, had a flyrant charge a unit of rangers. He stubbed his toe on a rock and they proceeded to beat him to a pulp. I was not happy.

Turn One, my opening Move was to jump some Sniper Drones into Terrain for both cover and a more optimal firing lane.
Five of the Nine drones died... might not have been a total Unit wipe but the probability of that happening was lower the winning lottery.

Trust me to get a bad lottery draw....

Well, these deaths weren't ludicrous by themselves. but together they were suspicious.

First tournament of 7th edition. All 3 games, my Grandmaster managed to kill himself by turn 3. Game 1: He failed a moral check and ran off the board turn 2. Game 2: He periled on turn 1. Game 3: He killed a Knight in melee combat, but it fell on top of him and squished him.

I won all 3 games too, but it was weird.

6th: Had a Flying Daemon Prince kill 9 cultists in a psy phase, the remaining cultist started running, but decided to throw a snap shot at the prince, and wound it, it gets grounded, takes a wound dies.

I had Fateweaver flying near a Paladin Knight at that start of 7ed.

The Knight shoots his heavy stubbers at it and manages to get a single wound through even with snap fire and 5+ to wound

Fateweaver proceeds to fail the grounding check which he used his reroll on.

The knight had to make a 12" charge to assault Fateweaver. Rolls box cars.

And then the Knigh proceeds to roll a 6 with his destroyer weapon instantly killing him.

Allying with Eldrad in my tau army for fluff reasons. Playing against daemons. Turn 1 on the chaos storm table he got the random enemy psyker takes a leadership test or becomes a daemon spawn. First blood to my opponent. Sadness.

Had a sniper drone team holding aysterious objective. It explodes and kills all 4 of them. I haven't played with mysterious objectives since.

Recently had an enemy Ezekiel cast vortex of doom on my vindicare assassin, killing him. Next turn it scattered back directly on Ezekiel and killed him too. Rather humorous.

I once had one of my space marine sergeants lose the rest of his squad, get charged by a pack of twenty Kroot carnivores, he killed two of them, they failed to kill him, and then he swept them and the shaper. Glory to Macragge indeed!

My librarian in power armour is renowned for losing horribly in close combat to tau fire warriors.

My Ultramarines smash fether punched an Imperial Knight to death.

Random tactical marine, with his leadership reduced to two by the old guardsmen sanctioned psykers squad, carrying the relic to safety, managed to pass the turn 7 leadership test as the rest of the squad died around him.

During a tournament, a Necrons player with the item that let you deep strike redeploy shifted his large blob of twenty warriors to somewhere inconvenient for me. The two overlords and twenty warriors then proceeded to scatter just enough to be instantly destroyed by the toe of Random Tactical Marine.

One of my Russes fires a demolisher shot at a tri-las Predator.
The shot scatters 3" to the right, and hits a second Predator.

Pred 1, roll to pen: 6
Pred 1, roll on damage table: 6

Pred 2, roll to pen: 6
Pred 2, roll on damage table: 6

Both tanks exploded 6".

Back in 5th when drones required a controller.

3 stealth suits, 6 gun drones, jump into terrain, all suits fail terrain tests and die, all drones promptly crash.

I've posted this before in similar threads but it is a funny story -

Deathstrike Missile was fired danger close to my Fortress of Redemption's walls in order to try wiping out an Ork horde bearing down on my defenders.

The Missile scattered backwards and destroyed 3 sections of my Fortress, leaving only the Missile bunker, and killing 35 men (20 of which were veterans), my Inquisitor and his retinue. Also caught in the blast was my last Tarantula turret.

Suffice it to say, I had effectively tabled myself and my opponent cleaned up the survivors, including the offending Deathstrike Missile Launcher, the following turn.

Back in fifth with with a witch hunters jump canoness. Always solo. She was the bane of anything with an armour value or more than 1 attack. She had soaked the shooting phase of an entire army more than once.

And yet EVERY SINGLE TIME she had to make a single save, she would fail, even it was a lone commisar with a las pistol or so. Or a grot...EVERY friggin time. I could not for the life of me make single saves on that canoness. It became a running joke.

My Onager Dunecrawler is fething amazing.

It has accomplished the following.

•Killed a Daemon Prince in close combat with one hull point remaining.
•Killed a Bloodthirster with a Heavy Stubber.
•Killed two Terminators in close combat.

I had a 12 man Fire Warrior squad get charged by a friend's 10 man Striking Scorpion squad. Scorpions go first and kill a single fire warrior. Fire warriors swing back and kill 2 scorpions. The scorpions promptly failed their morale roll and the fire warriors run them down.

A lot of gold in this thread lol.
