I'd made new terrain for Sci-Fi games like Warhammer 40k, Afterglow etc.

It all started from small tubes, MDF board, styrofoam and some small PCV pipes and connectors.

Pipes are glued with White Glue but as you can see there are some gaps.

I fill the gaps with Green Stuff to make it look like welds.

On the back I made ladder steps from casual paper-clips as below.

Add platforms made from styrofoam and depron board and all paint in black.

With grey primmer I made first highlights on all concrete-like places.

Pipes painted with Gunmetal and highlighted with Steel colour.

Whole ground was covered with Dark Earth, some spots and bigger rocks painted with Cold Grey and Wolf Grey.

I found or made some pictures and print them in sticker paper. Cut some of them and glued.

I found that glue from paper was to soft so used Super Glue on back of stickers. For curing time used masking tape to hold it in place.

I had some problems with chipping on tubes (steps not shown cause result was crappy) so painted with brush some spots using Old Rust and Rust. As a finish ad some Gunmetal spots on them.

For passages between platforms I cut balsa wood into pieces and glued together as below. Them primed black.

To make it look like old wood painted them with Cold Grey. Drybrushed with Sky Greg and Dead White.

All together ready for some Greens from Woodland Scenics.

I used Tufs - Burned Grass Fine Turf and Green Grass Blended Turf. Also Light Green Foliage and some small natural leaves.

They are not left from origianl cans - they're stickers just to make some more climate to diorama.

Looks good. Thanks for sharing.

Did you just make the hand wheels for operating the calves from cutting a piece of plasticard?

The signs and lettering turned out well. You called it sticker paper but said you glued it on. Is it sticky or what kind of paper is it?

Thanks

1) Hand wheels cut from piece of plasticard with a drill and scalpel.

2) graphics were printed on sticker paper but it's own glue was not strong enough and when the sticker was bend on pipes after few minutes it was unsticking on it's own. So had to use Super glue on back of sticker

We go for the eyes.

Very cool!!!, although it this is a ruined refinery no longer in used, i would have put a lot more rust on the pipes and such... and probably not any vegetation growing... Since you have the hazmat symbols, its safe to safe the liquid probably leaked out and destroyed and potential of vegetation to grow. Awesome idea, but the vegetation really make it looks weird .
