Hey guys, had a fun little thread idea I have been throwing around. What is your favorite model from Warmachine and Hordes, based off of pure looks and fluff, not how it plays or it's special rules. And, why is it your favorite.

My favorite model from MK I, and still is my favorite is the original pewter Battlebox Kommander Sorscha. The first time I saw her I knew she was going to be fun to paint, and I love how much character that model has.

The Butchers. Vlad3. Anything tharn. Warpwolf stalker. Doom reavers.

I generally hate cavalry and find them frustrating and time consuming to paint and put together. Imagine my joy with steelhead heavy cav and stannis brocker. Beautiful models.

There are so many that are fantastic. If I had to really narrow it down I'd go with Gunnbjorn. It's over the top awesome and it kinda reminds me of 80's Arnold Schwarzenegger movies.

The new Denny looks really really nice. I'm excited to get my hands on her and paint her up.

Absylonia2, Archangel, Typhon, Angelius. Choosing my faction was super easy for me.

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

I just painted the new Haleys. They have almost Infinity level of detail.

But my favorite models are:
Iron Mother, the model that got me into Warmachine.
The aquatic merc jacks, Freebooter and Mariner.
Man O Wars
That female Widow Maker
Necrotech Mortenbra

Archangel is my favourite model. Shame the rules aren't quite as good.

I also love Ruins model, he hasn't missed leg day as much as the old mk1 Jack's have.

I second Denny3. I was able to Ninja one and it was really easy to put together.

It's one of the few models that I'm actually really excited to paint.

The ones I've worked on that I really like:

Epic Butcher or Butcher2 (whatever you like to call him) - I must have worked on this model 3 or 4 times. Can never get tired of him.
Pureblood Warpwolf (original metal sculpt) - I just love the howling pose. Worked on 3 or 4 of these as well... cannot get enough of him.

The ones I'd like to work on:

Ol' Rowdy - totally love the pose they have of him with him pounding the ground.
Dire Troll Mauler (original metal sculpt) - This is one of the models that drew me to the game (I ended up starting with Circle Orboros though once I saw their wolves)
Drago - Another warjack that has, to me, an excellent dynamic pose.

I have always liked the fluff and look of the storm knights. The stormguard and sliverline stormguard particularly.

All the titans models from skorne. They all look like melee powerhouses. My favorite would be tiberion and then probably the bronzeback after that. The titans and the Cyclops models in skorne are what got interested in the faction originally.

I also really like the stormfall archers for ret.

Yea, it really is it hard to pick just one haha. I am building Drago right now to go with Vlad2 and my Vlad3 theme force. I am absolutely in love with his model. Although it isn't quite as posable as Beast-09, it is just fantastic.

Even though some of the original MK I models are starting to show their age, there are some real timeless classics that I will never tire of. The Widowmaker unit leader, the metal Iron Fang Pikemen, either Manhunter. Love me some classic Khador!

The Archangel hands down. Probably one of the best dragon models out there just in general. So full of raw character and power. Shame its rules suck so bad. If they didn't, I would probably have a small legion force just to run two of them.

Aside, I might get one just to paint it as a decoration.

Really glad to see the love for Denny3 too. Mine came in the mail last week, but I haven't had time to get her assembled yet.

The reason, I think, it's not super amazing is pThagrosh. As is pThagrosh's feat can bring one back to life. So it's not really about having 2, it's about having 3.

I love old Horseface, Her Hatness, classic Zerkova. She is so ugly it is awesome, where as some other terrible sculpts like the classic Gorax or classic Fiona are just plain ugly.

Other models I'm a huge fan of:

Battlebox metal Sorcha and eSorcha

Ah man this is too hard... and you said "fun"!

I saw this thread a few days ago and I've been wracking my brains trying to narrow it down!

I guess I'm going to go with one of the models that got me into the game in the first place...

And that would be the Deathripper!

After playing our first demo game me and a buddy went and picked up our battleboxes, based on pure looks he went Cygnar and I went Cryx!

Since then I've played hundreds of games and tried several factions but Cryx will always be my main faction and the Deathripper rarely doesnt make my list!

Need more 's in my life!

Not at all.

PP were actually genuinely surprised that people didn't like it. They also admitted to nerfing it before the rules release because they thought it was too strong, but pThagrosh's feat wasn't the reason. Actually at the time you couldn't feat the Archangel back because they can't be placed(which is what his feat does). They had to clarify that the restriction on placing gargantuans only applies when the model is on the table.

Old Fiona was pretty terrible, but the new is one of the best sculpts PP has done in the last few years.
