Sweet! what material i that, polystyrene?

I take it they're regular 28mm mini's on the hills?

How are you so motivated to do the stuff you do - im guessing though that you really really love the hobby! I wish i had the balls to just try and make stuff like you.

I got to grasp basic modeling techniques yet though.

Totally forgot these pictures.

The last picture was my wife's idea. She said I needed to take a picture and show "the scale"
of my project.

GAK! Bad pun alert! All thread readers within 6" get a -1 initiative modifier while their minds reel.

On topic: Those hills are of impressive dimensions... what are you using to cut them? A hot wire foam cutter, I presume?

Two things: a utility knife and a hot wire foam cutter.

Here's how the hills look with paint and a coat of water based rosewood wood stain.

Malf , all those mini's are making me want to cry . Why ? Becouse i just hate how many they are , and how fast you've painted them . I could'nt finish 1/50 of what you've finished now .

Great terrain . Like Fox said , a drybrush or two and you should be good . Maybe add some piles of junk/rubble/stones ?

Yup. Although I'm way too lazy to actually drybrush properly.

I'm still learning how to cut foam. At some point I want to create stone/rubble piles that
players can place on top of hills to create LOS blocking hills (more difficult to do in
Warmachine than in 40k, by the way), but I'm not there yet. Though some of the
linear obstacles in this set (You can see them in the fourth picture) will be good for
blocking LOS on a hill.

That looks quite good . Oh and , for LOS rubble piles : Just cut down some sprues , and glue them to it . Then but lots of PVA glue over them(make sure they're stuck) and sand over that . Can also be customized with bits'n'pieces . For some small rubble piles for bases fx. link's here http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/253068.page pages 1 and two , the bikes have very small . Now just max those up to around 200% and you got an LOS rubble pile !

Thanks for the link. I can see how that might work. I'm going to make some big rocks
first and then figure out rubble later. Maybe. (LOS in WM requires 1.75" for small based
models and 2.25" for things like Warjacks, iirc).

These are some Cygnar models I started trucking around to various game stores to
paint while I sat around.

Yeah, I have a hard time working on 40k and Fantasy stuff because of the large number
of models. Breaking them down into manageable chunks helps.

Tacobake wrote:man I wanna paint something! You make it look so easy, malfred!

My friend has threatened to come over and take good pictures of my miniatures. I suspect
my poor photos hide the flaws in my models.

Dungeons and Dragons. Or rather, it's for the Dungeons and Dragons that I play in my
head. I don't have an actual game going , nor do I regularly play at all. I just like painting
the figures.

Here's Dawnlord Vyros, nearly complete:

I like the bird on his hand, but i think the cloak could use some work. It looks like the wash has stained it brown, a gradual blend from black to grey would look better imo.
