Could be worse, at least the FW website is still better than the GW one.

I'm the same and would rather they did something like the service studs as at forgeworld as I'd actually hit that target.

Living on the west side of North America, I was never able to redeem the shipping since you have to call in a order to use it. Time zones just made that to hard.

For Angron, maybe. It sure looked like Calth/Shadow Crusade is up next, from all the UM and WB artwork. It said that rules guys were involved, so maybe it's some new scenarios or ways to play related to the Shadow Crusade, along the lines of how Book 3 had the Tactical Strike and Blood in the Void rules.

Still too early for them to go full Deamon it don't happen till they start going to or are on the way to Terra

No...again, Angron.

To be fair, I believe that he's leaning over the rail in that painting. Still not one of the taller Primarchs, though.

Well, I could buy something relatively small, then order a larger model and use the voucher, but I'm not convinced it would save me the cash I'd have to spend on the international phone call. The one time I resolved a miscast piece over the phone, I could have just bought the bit again!

Seriously. How about free shipping with every order delivered by telegram? Can we get audio dramas on wax cylinders?

I protest too much, as free shipping is free shipping, but it does seem deliberately obtuse.

It seems like the peeps over at Forgeworld live in the Dark Age of Technology. I wouldn't mind if you had to place an order with the voucher via carrier pigeon service though

So my buddy and I (posts here as "The Shrike") were in England around April of this year. We of course made a stop off at Warhammer world. What we didn't think about because neither of us has a religious bone in our body was that it was Good Friday when we went there. Anyway, while the store was closing early I still attempted to buy some FW items. GW informed me that they couldn't sell me FW on a bank holiday because it was a "same day delivery" and they can't do that on a Bank Holiday. This is despite the fact the items I wanted were literally in a bucket/basket right behind the clerk. They ultimately offered me free shipping to the US when I explained a dozen times that I was in Nottingham for one day. In order to place my order, they literally went onto the FW website, ordered as if ordering from the web, and then copy-pasta'd the order before hitting confirm and sent it through g-mail to their own inbox.

Needless to say, I'm not left with much faith that they could build an online order code system.

I've never heard of the limit on selling stuff over the counter on bank holiday, many shops are open on holidays in the UK and trade as normal albeit with reduced hours, and whilst I've never been to warhammer world I assumed their "shop" there was effectively a shop and not an instore mail order service.

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/VORAX_BATTLE_AUTOMATA.html

Vorax class Battle-automata are hunter-killer units, their design based on an ancient template pattern said to date back to the Dark Age of Technology. Created on pre-Imperial Mars to fulfil the roles both of search and destroy weapon and exterminator of rogue machines and mutant vermin, their Cybernetica cortex engrams are known to be particularly predatory and vicious examples of their kind.
Armed with a pair of rotor cannon and a lightning gun, the Vorax are prepared to meet most threats. At close quarters their Battle-automata power blades make short work of even heavily armoured infantry units.
The Vorax Battle-automata is a complete multi-part resin kit, designed by Will Hayes. The kit consists of three Vorax class Battle-automata armed with lightning guns, with an optional Irad-cleanser. This set is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Monday 10th November. The Vorax class Battle-automata are a fast attack option for the Mechanicum Taghmata Omnissiah army list found in The Horus Heresy Book Three - Extermination.

I'm not really into this 30k Mechanicus stuff but I like the Vorax automata. Mostly because the design is so far removed from standard GW that they wouldn't look out of place in a non-40k game. They can be 15mm mechs, or Infinity bots, or whatever.

I understand the Vorax are an old-school homage, but I just don't like the look: an army of mostly humanoid-shaped machines with a unit of techno-bugs. Maybe if they were a bit more upright, I could ignore the mantis heads. Meh.

pricey! I tend to buy them when they come out otherwise it gets expensive to catch up. Looks like balab is next up to be updated if the cheap bundle is any indicator.

I know, but I'm in a weird place where I can afford it (new job + just got paid + still have half my severance package from my last job), and they're the ones I don't have (except the last Vraks book, which they don't sell, and the Ork one, which I don't want).

The Badab War 1&2 + IA2 bundle is actually a really good deal. You save heaps on that.

Yeah, I got the Badad duo, very cheap compared to what you paid for a single book before.

The vraks books seem to have disappeared (except no. 1). I guess their previous bundle got rid of the old stock.

Those would so go into Epic as an obscure pattern of Reaver Titan. I think. Not sure on the size, but they look about right.

Funnily enough, I don't have any Reavers. Hmm.

Hey, I just looked through my buddy's HH3 and we couldn't find out what the Rotor Cannon does. Can any one tell me, or at least point me to the right page? Thank you.

I like the Vorax a lot, they are not the Styrix that I was hoping for, but at least they're a cool model and not another damn contemptor. I am really considering getting a mech army when I finish the ones I have. The rest of the 30K are just marines with some new toys and different looking armor. But these are actually different and unique enough to warrant purchase. Just want to get all of the rules for them fleshed out first, maybe they will release a comprehensive book like they did with the SM.

Because of the rumor about Knights being in HH4 and HH4 comming out soon I think that they will probably wait until the book comes out to release the Styrix. Hopefully another variant will come out at that time too.

So, we're gonna see some more FW content in Only War or was the 'loss of job' that you were just talking about meaning you've moved on from that?

And I was talking about my day job, not what I do with FFG.
