Subject: Mierce Darklands News + Rumors Thread - Next KS Campaign (Cavalry) starts Aug. 23!
Here's a question re: the Kickstarter. I field undead exclusively, so I'm pretty much only interested in the Jute Whitgar Horse. I just don't have much use for anything else. So normally, I'd not kick in my contribution until we were close to 50,000 pounds and I was pretty sure we'd cross that finish line. Of course, that's kind of incentivizing me to hold back, which isn't good. If I were to pledge for a metal or resin mounted host - and we didn't get to the Whitgar Horse, is there any possibility of applying those funds to other, previously produced Jutes from past Kickstarters?
Also, I'm late to the Kickstarter game for Mierce Miniatures. Is there any timeline on when Jute models produced for past Kickstarters will end up in the web store for regular purchase?
Thanks!

Anything still open on the "pledge manager" (just a part of the MM store, really) is fair game for any of those funds. Most Jutes hosts seem to have been removed though so you might want to ask Rob directly what your options would be.

Really? Why would they take the Jutes out? It seems those would be best sellers...
Can I ask for Rob's handle on the forums?
Thanks
J

after the sculpt are funded on KS the go into the special KS section of the website only backers (and people who ask Rob nicely) can access
the sculptor them does them, sends them the mierce and mierce starts casting them up
then at the appropriate time (based on what wave they were scheduled for) they start shipping to backers,
once everybody has got them (except those who are waiting for later shipping waves) Mierce needs to get them ready for general retail, both on their own site and through stores and distributors
so they remove them from the KS section of the website, and start building up stock, getting the proper packaging sorted (so painted minis and professional photography)
and in a month or twos time they minis appear as new releases in the general section of the website (and are available to distriutors and games stores too)
a lot of the older host deals including many of the Jutes stuff are in the building up stock phase at the moment)
Due to popular demand we've decided to run our fantastic Low Pound Sale again, although be warned - this will be the last one for a long while!

Wow. the Mierce team have been working through my backlog very quickly. Got another shipping order with the stuff I ordered in May from Metal Age and New Kindereds.
Another yay for the 6 legged horse...to many years have we suffered under the yoke of oppressive 4 legged horses with their static poses and snapped off tails...
£27,500 - Spartakus, Gladiator on Foot and on Leónis
The Oghureach are here! We've been looking forward to getting these guys done for ages, and you lovely backers have made them a reality. Well done everyone!
To celebrate further, here's another stretch goal for you all to aim for... set at £27,500 to unlock, it's something for the Byzantii - Spartakus, a Gladiator on Foot and on Leónis!
Spartakus is a Thracian Gladiator who won his freedom in the arena; something he probably didn't like too much, so bloodthirsty was he, so he joined the legion where the fighting is thickest - the Legio II Var.
Armed with a falcata and sica, and bearing a parma shield and wearing helmet, greaves and an extended pauldron, Spartakus is a Host Champion of the Byzantii able to ride a ferocious Leónis into battle.
Note that the above artwork is the draft version and will be updated once it is finalised. The scale of Spartakus and Leónis is slightly wrong - he's too large - but that will be corrected in the full version. We just couldn't wait to bring you this stretch goal!
Increase your pledge by £50 ($65) to purchase both Spartakus on foot and on Leónis (regardless of whether Spartakus on foot is resin or metal).
Increase your pledge by £6 ($9) or £11 ($14) to purchase Spartakus on foot in either metal or resin respectively.
Increase your pledge by £45 ($60) to purchase Spartakus on Leónis in resin.

After a break of a month it's time for some new releases from us here at Mierce Miniatures, and it's all Darklands - nine Darklands releases in fact, and all for you and your hosts. There's two new miniatures for the Albainn - Dúngal on foot and on pony and Ettu the Goghu; a new one for the Byzantii - Equitus Durio on foot and on horse; something for the Fomoraic - Skaadi the Moraine-Sorcerer; and five for the Khthones, all of which are Krokodar related... the unit itself containing five man-crocodiles (called the Slaughterers) and the four as yet unreleased Krokodar!
Sadly, we've not been able to get them painted in time for release (except for Skaadi, who looks wonderful), but the miniatures themselves are fantastic as always - and just like the previous releases, thanks to us being busier than busy bees we've just not had the time to get the release art and descriptions done; but you can still see some good images of each miniature on the website of course.
It's been a while since we've released any foot and mounted nobles, so here's Dúngal of the Albainn on both foot and on pony. Saving a few quid from the price of purchasing both separately, he's your perfect general for your Albainn host! Sculpted by Olivier Nkweti from the artwork by Sam Lamont.
Sculpted by Olivier Bouchet from the artwork by Sam Lamont, Ettu is a mighty Goghu - a rock-beast of sorcery and belief revered by the Albainn and especially the Oghur and the Oghurithne. Standing on an 80mm base, he's a massive brute well able to smash apart battle-lines and also well able to deflect sorcerous attacks!
Another foot and mounted release - saving you a few pounds from purchasing them separately - comes this month for the Byzantii, and it's Equitus Durio who gets to walk and ride. Sculpted by Yannick Hennebo from the artwork by Stef Kopinski, Equitus is the perfect general for a Byzantii host and the mounted version comes with spatha (sword) and kontus (lance) options for him.
A beautiful realisation of an ice-sorcerer by Gauthier Giroud, Skaadi is a wonderful sculpt and a fantastic addition to your Fomoraic host - for she can raise ice beasts to fight for you!
With the release of the Slaughterers - sculpted by Benoît Cosse from the superb artwork by Christophe Madura - the Khthones now have a unit of heavy monstrouos infantry to batter their enemies with. Armed with a mighty club and sporting a bite and some natural heavily armoured skin, the Slaughterers are led by the unit's champion, Megálávra, and contains a banner bearer, Vókkinak and three warriors - Okkáv, Brudok and Maskó. Megálávra and Vókkinak have been released for a long time, of course - but now they've finally got some mates!
Kinakk is the warrior variant of the banner bearer from the Slaughterers, Vókkinak. Again sculpted by Benoît Cosse from the artwork by Christophe Madura, Kinakk is ideal for replacing Vókkinak if you don't want a banner bearer in your Krokodar unit!
All of the releases above were officially released on the 2nd of July 2016, and so you can order them right now.
Watch out for the August releases, which should be unveiled soon!
As mentioned, as well as the new release, Mierce have posted new painted photos of models:
First up, the Duguth:
Also, the Gabrax get the treatment:
They've also put a few metal release up on the shop. Looks like they're very close to getting the starter sets ready for launch.
