After a bit of a hiatus from painting/gaming I'm coming back into the game and want to try and document the build of my latest army!

I've always loved the raptors since the change from yellow and blue. I'm trying to build the army to use both in badab campaign and on Armageddon

Here's some initial basecoats of one of the preds, more to come!

The armour is really simple

Hull red primer, then some salt added as per salt technique
Vallejo model air armour green basecoats
Armour green and Vallejo model air dark yellow 3:1 ratio highlights
Brush the salt off :-)

I will be adding loads of oil washes and grime, going very dirty with these!

Nice work so far, I like your scout conversions, they go together quite nicely! Raptors are one of the chapters I have wanted to do since seeing the pictures in IA, I even went so far as to buy the transfers for them but never ended up doing any lol. Look forward to seeing how this progresses.

Ah yes, forgot to mention, it's the super chainsword from the sterns box... He's a jungle fighter so I assume a super power chainsword would be more fitting! Churn through orks and undergrowth :-)

Nice! What's your plan for the jungle bases? Lots of foliage/exotic plants? Critters? Curious to see since I think jungle is one the base type we rarely see on models but that can be awesome when it's well executed.

The plan is to go a bit more barren tundra now as the jungle bases blended far to much detracting from the model!
