Probably the same scale as the existing planes and helicopters. That'd be 15mm (1/100) helicopters, and 1/144 airplanes.

Can't help but think for helicopters it would be better to have the rotors as a translucent disc, to look like there are actually spinning but otherwise nice looking models

That's what they did for the initial Vietnam release. But they switched over when the WI version was released.

I have previously found someone who did discs in various sizes for heli's - Hurlbat I think it was. No idea if any good or not, or even if still going.

If I end up with this I may make some myself, not too hard to do, clear plastic, 'smoke' type translucent paint and an airbrush. just think the motion look is better, never used to but since I've had a few prop planes sans blades I find it looks a lot better
