So this is a list I was thinking about making that would be hard hitting with a lot of magic and regenerating wounds with a bit of speed too.

GENERAL

The Glottkin. 18w

WIZARDS

Festus the Leechlord. 6w

Nurgle Sorcerer x2. 6w

MORTALS

Putrid Blightkings x3: 4 Blightkings, 1 Blightlord, Icon Bearer, Sonorous Tocsin. 16w

Gorebeast Chariot x2: Lashing Whip, Chaos Greatblade. 8w

TOTAL MODELS: 51

TOTAL WOUNDS: 100

So my plan is to have my army move up while running and the Gorebeasts would be on each flank to guard from enemy flankers. The Blightkings would be guarding each Sorcerer to get them close to use Streams of Corruption, as well as Festus and The Glottkin, he would be center. The Sorcerer's would be casting Mystic Shield on the Gorebeasts or Blightkings and Festus would be doing the same on The Glottkin would probably Mystic Shield Festus or another unit of Blightkings. Anytime The Glottkin took wounds, he and Festus would heal him D3 wounds each through Blessings of Nurgle and Delightful Brews, Splendid Restoratives to make sure he survived until he got close. This would likely cause my opponent to target Festus pretty quickly, but I could always hide him behind The Glottkin.

Its not a bad list. My rotbringer 100 wound force has 24 models so you've not done too bad to double the amount.

Glotkin is a pure tank in similar ways to nagash etc. Festus us good and will need hidden well. Blightkings can take on most other units and rolling a few 6's for their weapons help get through units

Thanks, I've been mulling over some army list ideas and I really like this one. I've been wondering how often The Glottkin's Terrifying Opponent rule is actually beneficial?

I've been wondering if I should swap out the Gorebeast Chariots with Cockatrice instead, because their Petrifying Gaze is really good and they look decent in CC, especially when they charge, but the big reason why I'm hesitant about it is because since they can't have the Nurgle key word they can't benefit from regaining wounds or from the Glottkin's command ability.

Its not hugely beneficial due to most nurgle units having high battleshock, the enemy wont likely be rolling all that high. Outside of that though Glotkin is just pure beast.

Yeah when I was doing my list I had chopped and changed stuff here and there, in the end I stick out with pure nurgle. It maybe worth looking into tumurkhans horde from FW as that has a few nurgle keyword guys. I went in there for plague ogres and may also add later bile trolls but they have some monster types. Really depends what you need them to do.

I'll throw my list up in a bit when I can and try explain some choices I made

Hi, here's the list's Might, using the Scroll of Might (see link below):

Might ... Unit (Equipment Alternative)
___________________________________
.... 48 ... 1x The Glottkin
.... 11 ... 1x Festus the Leechlord
...... 9 ... 1x Nurgle Chaos Sorcerer
...... 9 ... 1x Nurgle Chaos Sorcerer
.... 25 ... 5x Putrid Blightkings (Icon, Tocsin)
.... 25 ... 5x Putrid Blightkings (Icon, Tocsin)
.... 25 ... 5x Putrid Blightkings (Icon, Tocsin)
.... 13 ... 1x Gorebeast Chariot
.... 13 ... 1x Gorebeast Chariot
___________________________________
.. 178 Total Might

One Cockatrice has 16 Might, so swapping the chariots for these adds 6 Might to the total.

You can find the Scroll of Might (pdf) here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/662092.page;jsessionid=586D01177CE14855BA0A2B727F688765.

My 100W list is as follows. Quick rundown on why as I'm not at my laptop and using phone but will update on them later.

General will go between gutrot and the lord depending on what I need out of them.

Gutrot spume- love the model, rules aren't too shabby either
Lord of plagues- model again, his command ability and nurgles rot are well useful abilities and between him and gutrot cool focal point.
2 rotbringer sorcerers- can add wounds over their normal allotment and arcane shield is hella useful

2 units of 7 Blightkings, full command- cracking models, robust, killy, good on the defense as well more so with arcane shield
2 units of 3 plague ogres- resilient, beaty provide excellent back up for lord and gutrot.

All that is 100 wounds. Will be buying bile trolls, Glotkin, maggoth lord and a few nurgle daemons and maybe some skaven. Also might write up a tactics thread for the rotbringers but another time

Thanks, but I'm just gonna be going with using wounds as point values and talk with my FLGS about ways to balance it.

Wow, that looks like a tough list! Plague Ogres look cool and their Damned Flesh rule is pretty sweet. Bile Trolls are definitely something I'm going to want to add to my army later, so much better than the Chaos Trolls.

It is fairly tough. Even against similar foes the list does very well. The regen on most nurgle units is also very useful. It never really feels like I'm at a loss and can cope with pretty much any situation. Yeah looking forward to getting trolls. Likely convert river trolls.

If you don't mind straying a bit, bring in epidemius.
His tally really benefits any nurgle heavy army.

I dragged him into my army and for 7 wounds, its a huge payout.

Epi isn't bad. Might look into him myself more closely when I get round to doing a tactics thread unless someone beats me to it. Currently just gathering loads of info so it can be done properly.
