To the best of my knowledge here is what is coming.

September 19th preorder slaughterpriest and skullgrinder
September 26th preorder Skarbrand
October 3rd preorder Tau Stormsurge suit.
October10th preorder XV95 Ghostkeel.
October17th preorder Codex Tau.
October 24th preorder more Tau. New crisis suits, Fire warriors and commanders during this period.

Upcoming no time frame.
Horus box maybe late October. Possibly up for preorder on the 31st. Latest rumour suggests 2 box sets.
Assassin clam packs
Deathwatch
Genestealer cult
My speculation
Lord of change( this is more of a hope than a fact.)
A third age of sigmar faction before the end of the year.
Sad panda said not dwarves so maybe elves.
A new chaos codex. This rumour came from bols so highly dubious. P.S. I firmly believe that their rumour monger must work for gw as only someone in the know could be so consistently wrong.

Sources?

It would be odd to release the HH box without any follow up, unless it is purely a board game -- which in turn makes pretty much no sense ... especially if the alleged sprue images are authentic.

You might want to chage the title to reflect what game system/company this is for, as you know there is more then GW out there.

Thanks for the edit. Sources are conversions with various people, the Internet and a dash of common sense. Sad panda said 3 months of age of sigmar followed by Tau. He also said that there would be a khorne second wave. There are two khorne units mentioned in the fluff that dont have models yet. Darnok on warseer mentioned a big khorne kit coming and we have seen pictures of the new board. Two weeks of age of sigmar and two weeks if khorne finush the three month age of sigmar window and leads us neatly up to a Tau release in October.

As far as horus follow up goes, noone seems to know what form that will take. Hastings on warseer said that the sprues from the box set would eventually be sold separately but I dont expect that to happen soon as it would cannibalise the sales of the box set. I only posted this because people have been giving bols too much credit, and getting unrealistic ideas about how quickly Tau are coming. I would put money on us seeing more Khorne, tau Horus heresy stuff and another age of sigmar faction this year. I would love to see a new Lord of change but Sad Panda seemed pretty emphatic that this is not happening.

You know what company is making said box, yes?

"Striking when the iron is hot" simply doesn't register with those folks.

So you say, midway through the ongoing followup to the AoS boxset. I totally get what you mean, but its not really like GW have ever been in a similar position outside of AoS since WHFB and 40k boxes have always had existing ranges to push alongside them. Sure its very possible they'll send 30k out without support for a while, but I doubt they're hoping releasing it alone will push more Forgew...

You know I legitimately got midway through typing that when I realized just how likely it is that this 30k boxset might be alone, and might just be a ploy to get people invested in a setting where they'll have to expand via expensive forgeworld models and upgrades.

Really, the only thing surprising is that GW has not included FW models in the official codices yet. I would assume this is because of a misscalculation that people would spend more money when buying both, an IA issue and the model, but when you have to pay for the codex, then some supplement, then the imperial armour and then FW prices on models, I don't think that requiring you to get Imperial armour is a wise buisness move.

By the way, did anyone else notice that age of sigmar is sandwiched between gw's two most popular 40k armies. Not a coincidence I think. On that note the last Tau release was massively popular and resulted in massive supply issues. For that reason I expect this to be a big release with a lot of kits. Lords of wargaming mentioned new crisis suits and fire warriors. They have been spot on so far and I would love for this to be true.

New Fire Warriors would be interesting. Though the current ones are pretty nice IMO, so I'd be interested to see what they change in the kit.

Current fire warriors look great in my opinion but new crisis suits is a must. I've never seen a single one that didn't look like someone's childhood GoBot standing on the table.

Considering they're rumors regarding CSM's, I'd peg them as entirely made-up & imaginary...

GW has purposely been passing up every potential opportunity they have to release updated and/or replacement kits for their oldest in-store model line, and yet the continuously refuse to lift a finger.
At this point, I think the only way Chaos Marines will ever get any of our kits updated/redone, is if GW has released every possible model kit twice over for every other army across all their model ranges! once that happens, and Space Marines get their 666th re-designed Tactical squad kit, only then will GW look at updating Chaos Marines.

agreed, it's beyond me how we don't have csm drop pods yet, surely they just need an extra spru to add to the box.

Maybe if we all complain and say we don't want it, then GW will be forced to release a new dex

I thought I'd update this as thanks to a variety of leaks we have a pretty good idea of the next 7 weeks of releases. Updates are in the op.

Fire Warriors have an ancient 3rd edition kit with tons of open space on the sprue. Glad to see them updated with a slihtly more modern look. Also really like the new Tau LoW gundroid.

Nurgle? Meh. Nurgle has already gotten a ton of love in End Times. We need Slaanesh and/or Tzeentch before more Nurgle.

I'm not sure if I should make a separate thread, so I'll put this here for now, but I just bought fw stuff at a gw shop. Not in-store delivery, but actually on the shelves. I was told it was a trial thingy.

Hasn't FW in GW stores been around for a while? They were doing it at the Seattle Battle bunker before they closed it down years ago.

I got the Taghmata army book at GW Shanghai. I was there before they opened (I was wasting time while waiting for my flight) and the guy working there let me in anyway. The Taghmata book was all that was on the shelves, but he told me they had received a bunch more stuff (which was why he was there early). Unfortunately I had a plane to catch, so I didn't stick around to see. I still have my receipt, but it doesn't specify the item purchased, so I have no definite evidence.

I think you mean Slaanesh or Tzeentch Daemonkin since Nurgle already gets huge amounts of love all the time.

I would expect a daemonkin release after Tau. Why? Simple. GW can use the daemonkin releases to pull double duty on 40k and Age of Sigmar. Release some 40k daemonkin kits and codex and then release another 4 weeks of age of sigmar kits plus a battletome.

I would expect a lot of things from GW, but not all of them make sense to me. For example, the AoS chaos stuff so far has been pure mortals with no daemons. So no updated Daemon kits.

I don't expect that to change if Nurgle gets more love to support their portion of the campaign in the Quest book too (along with the appropriate Wood Elf related things).

I can give a lot of benefit of the doubt for rumors, but Genestealer Cult, in addition to being a thing I'd really love to see, is something I wouldn't believe existed til it was in my hands.

As amazing as the return of Genesneaker Cults to the game would be, I'd honestly much rather see GW focus on helping out us poor sods who are still floundering about like inbreed guppies with crusty old 6th edition books...

Let's first get Chaos, IG & Tyranids up to date with proper codices before any more expansions/supplements please... Especially the desperate need to re-do nearly the entire CSM model line, which let's face it, is second only to freaking Sisters in terms of it's age and overall suckiness!
