As before I am working on tournament lists and have come up with two that I think are viable. My question is, which is better (factor in that the tournament runs missions similar to warmachine.

If you are interested here are the comp rules for the tournament:
Spoiler:
Rules
100 Wound Armies
Minimum 6 War Scrolls - Maximum 12 War Scrolls
Maximum Wounds per Scroll - 25
1-3 Heroes (must include at least one as your General)
0-2 Monsters
0-3 War Machines (must count wounds for War Machine plus crew members)

Summoning is being treated as "feat". If a Wizard is successful in casting a summoning spell, the War Scroll that was summoned loses that ability. A Wizard that fails his summoning spell may try it again next round. It is only lost after being successfully cast.

Summons CAN take you over the original wound count.

Other things to note from the attached document.
Initiative rules NOT in use.
When shooting into a melee combat in which you have engaged troops, you WILL hit your own troops on a Roll of "1" on your Hit dice. You will then roll wounds and saves.
LIST RULE WORTH REMEMBERING
When a unit exceeds 10 models, receive 2 models for each that is purchased with wounds. i.e. a unit that begins at Five, 1-wound models, would cost 10 wounds total for a unit of 10, but only 15 wounds for a unit of 20.
This means that even though your 20 man unit only costs 15 wounds, it counts as a 20 wound War Scroll for purposes of a the 25 Wound max per War Scroll.

Here are the lists:
Death
Spoiler:

WS1/H1 5 wds
Vampire Lord

WS2/H2 5 wds
Necromancer

WS3/H3 8 wds
Casket of Souls

WS4/M1 12 wds
Necrosphinx

WS5/M2 12 wds
Necrosphinx

WS6 17 wds
24 Tomb Guard

WS7 17 wds
24 Tomb Guard

WS8 14 wds
18 Tomb Guard

WS9 10 wds
10 Tomb Guard

This list is pretty simple in that big blocks of tomb guard move as a big mass and protect the squishies (The rules comp has some weird look out sir rules) and then buff up the tomb guard in combat with danse macabre and VL command ability. Casket is there in part as a distraction, as most will prioritize it, and necrosphinxes are just mean.

Chaos List:
Spoiler:

WS1/H1/M1 12 wds
Lord Screech Verminking

WS2/M2 8 wds
Scyla Anfingrimm

WS3 1 wd
Spell Familiar x1

WS4 1 wd
Spell Familiar x1

WS5/WM1 6 wds
Warp Lightning Cannon

WS6 3 wds
Warp-Grinder Team

WS7 3 wds
Warp Grinder Team

WS8 24 wds
Storm Fiends x 4 Ratling Cannons

WS9 24 wds
Storm Fiends x 4 Ratling Cannons

WS10 18 wds
Stormvermin x 25

This list has the block of 25 stormvermin to snag objective points, Scyla to jump through combat and munch wizards, Lord Screech to 12th spell things, with 2x spell familiars (I know its semi- redundant, but I had an extra wound) to help it get off on a 7+), Then the 2x warp-grinder teams tunnel the stormfiends in for warmachine/character sniping.

Thoughts on which I should take?

I know for sure there is going to be a dwarfs player, a lizardman player, a Skaven player and a Brettonian Player.

Hi,

Using the Scroll of Might (see link below), your Death list has 279 Might and your Chaos list 180.
So I'd go with the Death list: more Might for the same number of wounds.

Both lists' Might in detail:

Death
Might ... Unit (Equipment Alternative)
___________________________________
.... 18 ..... 1x Vampire Lord (membranous wings)
...... 9 ..... 1x Necromancer
.... 14 ..... 1x Casket of Souls
.... 36 ..... 1x Necrosphinx
.... 36 ..... 1x Necrosphinx
.... 54 ... 25x Tomb Guard
.... 54 ... 25x Tomb Guard
.... 34 ... 15x Tomb Guard
.... 24 ... 10x Tomb Guard
___________________________________
.. 279 Total Might

Chaos
Might ... Unit (Equipment Alternative)
___________________________________
.... 34 ..... 1x Lord Screech Verminking
.... 18 ..... 1x Scyla Anfingrimm
...... 1 ..... 1x Chaos Familiar
...... 1 ..... 1x Chaos Familiar
...... 7 ..... 1x Warp Lightning Cannon
...... 3 ..... 1x Warp-Grinder Weapon Team
...... 3 ..... 1x Warp-Grinder Weapon Team
.... 39 ..... 3x Stormfiends (Ratling Cannon)
.... 39 ..... 3x Stormfiends (Ratling Cannon)
.... 35 ... 20x Storm Vermin (Shield)
___________________________________
.. 180 Total Might

In the scroll, some units' Might depends on their equipment: I've used the Mighiest of the alternatives in such cases.
The Scroll works with min. size blocks per unit, so I've adjusted the units' compositions a bit accordinly.

You can find the Scroll of Might (pdf) here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/662092.page;jsessionid=586D01177CE14855BA0A2B727F688765.

Cheers,

What's left of Cadia

I would take the chaos list

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum
