Hey guys, I'm just wondering if an inquisition only or inquisition with officio assassinorium army would be possible. It doesn't have to be competitive, just not completely terrible.

Well, you could technically do it.Take two fully kitted out Inquisitors, three twelve man retinues fully kited out and three Land Raiders. Than flavour with sprinklings of assassins.

It's possible, I can't speak for it's strength as I've never seen it, but I do believe it could work

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Inquisition lists can play the mech spam game pretty well, though may be overshadowed by the new marine formations with their free transports.

Cheap infantry with multiple special weapons per squad, cheap psykers (cheapest psykers in the game), cheap razorbacks, cheaper old version chimera with 5 firepoint hatches and psybolt ammo all make inquisition still viable.

Their only problem is that you have to take multiple formations to get around their highly restrictive FOC. If you want to play tournaments or at establishments that limit the number of FOC/formations per army, then they will be less practical.

Fortress of Redemption.

2 warrior units in the bunkers.

4-5 units of psykers in the battlements/hallway

1 unit of crusaders in a land raider, along with your inquisitors.

That's what I'm building. 4+ S10 AP1 pieplates, plus the building weapons and the combat-maniacs in the Land Raider should be reasonably functional. Not 'top-tables-at-GTs' good, but not embarassing, either.
