So how this happened is, I wanted to start an Imperial Fists army with Militarum Tempestus support for the coolness factor. Then the AdMech came and I just had to have some. So I'm sitting here with so much stuff that I almost have a 2000 point army. All I need to complete the below list is a Captain, a Drop Pod, one Tac Squad and two Stormtalons. I would love to hear if this list is at all workable. I might take it to some tournaments but I'm not expecting to be in the top 50% really, it'd be just for fun.

Would really appreciate some feedback! Does the list have any obvious weaknesses, am I too heavy or too light on something, which armies will I struggle against, etc.

How would you take all these units? Just unbound? formations?

No, one CAD (Space Marines) and two Allied Detachments.

the 10 tacticals arent gonna be doin much on their own footslogging them is a bad idea. Throw them in rhinos, razorbacks or drop pods. Pods might be good with this list. U could drop them in to gain a foothold then drop the tempestus. Also give them some special weapons! plasma or at least flamers or melta in a drop pod.

I wouldn't go for the arc rifles theyre ok at killing vehicles but again how are they getting into the enemys face? They need a transport of some kind. An empty pod for them maybe? A valkyrie if you have it. And why no upgrades other than art armor on the chapter master? The guy needs upgrades to do anything really. Better off with a libby he at least gets a force sword for free and can buff your guys.

Replace the Tactical Marines with Scouts in Land Speeder Storms:

Scouts (5) - bolters x5, Land Speeder Storm w/heavy flamer
*each squad costs less than a TFC lol and is sooo good, and it fills your troop requirements

Thanks a lot guys! What I'm thinking of doing is this

- Replace Captain with a Librarian
- Replace Tacticals with 3 Land Speeder Storms with HFs
- maybe remove the Arc Rifles or only have one per squad or replace them

What do you guys think?

Sternguard and LSS will be spearhead, TFC and Centurions stay back and pummel the enemy, Skitarii shoot at range, Tempestus deep strike in and plasma while Stormtaloms come in for a one-two punch.
